Yes. It's ironic that the EcoBoost makes more power precisely when one can't use it so much. Maybe?
I'm sure these engines are rated at the standard atmosphere (77°F I think, certain humidity and pressure), and as I understand most engines aren't supposed to make meaningfully more when it's...
It's the same in the UK, and has been for a while. And at least in the UK, the Coyote's output is reduced , which presumably is to prevent the island moving when a driver accelerates firmly and not to do with emissions.
The turbocharger whistles when building or reducing boost - it's more obvious when gently building power and once you're heard it, it's easy to hear it again, at least in my experience.
There are a few possible reasons, so in no particular order, and some of these might be tongue-in-cheek. :)
- it's a better sports car and a poorer muscle car
- you're from a different culture where you aren't used to V8s burbling past
- you like annoying GT owners
- 480hp (486hp, 500hp) is way...
It sounds like the gap between plastic parts, on mine it was just below the screen on the right hand side. Holding the dashboard here fixed it and it went away by itself, weird. But it SOUNDED like it was from somewhere else.
I also have a very annoying plasticy rattle from the trunk carpet...
I'd welcome advice... As a Brit, it was beaten into me to always move over after passing, a discipline I continue in the US.
To my mind, move over means moving to the right most lane. However, I know of people who are dedicated members of the MLOC, Middle Lane Owners Club. She's like, I'm not...
Lots of good advice, and lots of similar circumstances. Something I noticed in the first few weeks is that the Mustang (and I have a poverty nite pony spec EcoBoost) can bring out the best and worst in people. People have stopped and looked, or said, "I like your car," not something I expected...
RIght? That bonnet goes on for miles and miles. And miles. Is that a bonnet under your windscreen or are you just pleased to see me? And no you can't look under it, the EcoBoost looks lonely in there.
I'm guessing the new Puma, the electric one? That arrived after I emigrated. The Puma in the...
TL;DR - I think it tries to be smart but either needs better calibration or a humidity sensor, or both,
It's been interesting to watch how mine behaves - the a/c feels like it overcools on a warm day, like "arctic blast" overcools, but when it's warm but not hot, if I tell the system to cool...
I'm a little late to the thread but I've noticed mine does a similar thing. The car is more decisive if she wants to use or not use the compressor. Sometimes, I'll be driving to work and the A/C has turned on or turned off, depending on the outside temperature. I keep mine in a (typical...
If you have Ford Points, you can get discounted or free black lockable nuts free at the Ford Accessories website. I have the same Nite Pony Package on a black EcoBoost and even the Ford app shows the chrome nuts, which makes me think, c'mon you did the badges, why not the wheel nuts... but...
My beautiful wife suffers from something similar but when she knows what's making the sound, she's better able to cope with it. The Mustang's horsey gallop sound is distinctive and I think because it's not a regular tick-tock but is a bit offbeat, she hears it more - but it might be louder in...
