Hey all,
So I recently installed the Steeda trident wheels with the Continental Extreme Contact 02s and noticed recently that there was a very small shake in the steering wheel after reaching speeds of 50-65 mph. I took the car back in to get the balance checked and the technician advised that...
Will do. I’ve taken the first photo of where it is currently. I’ll stop and pick some up. When did it concern you to the point where you were like, “okay this is really not right” ?
Back in the early manufacturing days, there was a period of 3 days where a supposed 11 vehicles were affected, but there could have been more. It was from January 30th - February 1st. Ford launched a harvesting program, labeled 24H01. It was never actually diagnosed as a valve seal issue, but it...
I think so too, just wanted a second opinion since my build date was of 05/24, which was the timeframe for the valve seal issue. The car doesn’t appear to burn any oil
This exactly. With the substantial rises in costs and no wage increases to match, I don’t blame anyone for wanting perfection out of what they spend their hard earned money on. I’m just like you, meticulous about my car, down to every detail. It makes me sad to think about what my cars may have...
have you heard of any harm caused by additives? I was thinking on doing Ceratec to quiet it down but of course Ford doesn’t recommend using any additives.
I also think people downplay the 650 a bit. When you watch a lot of the in depth videos, ford did a lot to make the platform better. I also had an s550 for a time and the 650 is an improvement all around.
I’m not denying that, the car is awesome.
I would have got one if it were more within my price range.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the PP cars do share a lot with the Dark horse, minus some calibration work, tires, diff cooler, and “chassis tuning”
Seems pretty disappointing considering all the work that went into that.
There was a video I saw on YouTube of someone running their PP 650 and it put up pretty decent times with just an apr wing and splitter. Can’t remember which track though.
I don’t think so either. It got a lot better with the steeda wheels and wider tires, so where it’s at now I find more than acceptable. At least I can actually feel somewhat of the limit now.
That’s fantastic! Gonna be getting some camber plates and looking at the stop the hop kit. Also going to look into toe link bearings.
the car feels really tight with what I’ve done and feels comparable to my old 1le. I think the biggest difference to me is steering feel. The rack is super fast...
