I’m having a good friend of mine who overhauled the audio on my S550 do it
Taramps amp was $240
Pioneer Amp was $250
Pioneer Sub was $80
B&C Speakers were $200 for both
Kickers were $100 for all 4
Pioneer Pillars were $40
JL’s were $110
PAC Unit was $380
RCAs were $40

All parts are in. Dark horse is going in the shop on Saturday. Here’s the breakdown of how I’m doing it
The pillars have Pioneer TS-A301TW 3/4’s
The center dash & upper door mids have Kicker 51KSC2704 s
The bottom door woofers are B&C 6MDN44 6.5”s
The deck speakers are JL C1-650X coaxials...
You guys can use this PAC Bypass to remove the factory DSP/ Amp mounted in the left quarter panel & grab signal from the head unit to run to a proper 4 channel. This bypass retains all chimes and controls they @ a preset level. It also lets you use a aftermarket DSP or assign frequency values to...
They’re the same. Bass hits pretty good. Regardless, once I do the B&O bypass, I’ll have signal directly from the ACM split into a front / rear / bass channel. This was just a temporary install to get better bass & correct the roll off
Signal from rear sub wiring (only need one set from the dual voice coil) into the active LOC with bass roll off correction
I got the OEM wiring diagram so I was able to then wire the OEM connector plug out of the amp output back into the sub (plug and play)
Anybody installed an amp to the OEM box? I’m thinking about wiring one. When you drop the mids & raise the treble/lows, you get crazy bass….. but high mids and treble gets you crisp sound. Thinking about getting a separate amp to drive the lows better.
Anybody’s tweeters sound a bit weird when playing certain songs? I’m almost certain the B&O drivers aren’t really the best. I was thinking about swapping out the pillar tweets to some pioneers & seeing if that makes a difference. Any thoughts?
I can make a plug and play harness for this in case people don’t want to cut in to their factory harness. I’ll sell them for $150 each + shipping. If anybody is interested, let me know.
Actually I think with two of these, the female connector and some spare wiring, I can make the harness. It’ll be difficult though. If anybody can provide me the three components, and ship them to me, I’ll make you the harness. You can then test it out, let me know how it works, and if it makes...
