you’re fine but not sure why you wouldn’t be able to mount it straight? radar waves are exactly that, waves. So they expand outward and seriously doubtful a few degrees off axis will affect anything other than a few specific cases

most people have not had success using the USB to power the radar. It does not provide enough current
