He's talking about just the exhaust setting. I personally do not feel the difference in response that he describes. I think he's got the Mustang glasses are on and he's just enjoying the placebo of track exhaust too much. 😉
The amount of people who still think you have to charge an EV for 2 hours every 200 miles speaks to the prevailing ignorance of the topic.
And btw, I have no dog in the fight. I just prefer informed opinions over emotional bias when having a discussion. EVs seem to bring out the later.
But changing exhaust modes independently can't effect throttle mapping. All the exhaust modes do is actuate the valves in mufflers. Mapping is based on the tune. If you're feeling a difference in trottle response, it maybe be attributed to less exhaust restriction since Track exhaust is wide...
Actually I don't even know if PPs GT have diff temp sensors since they don't have coolers.
But I'm with you though. It's nice to have but not necessary for a track day.
Well, the PP cars don't have diff coolers either. I'd be more concerned about trans if its an auto. Otherwise you will be fine. Let the car cool between sessions and enjoy.
Dear lord. That thing is MASSIVE. Does it come with dual anchors? That hatchback basically makes it an SUV. And that interior if fuggly.
I like the Power plant, but that platform is ridiculous. Why in gods name didn't they make the 2 door shorter? 🙄
Why not? It may not be the optimal set-up, but it will be just fine to play around with for a day or weekend on the track. The brakes are the most important thing after all.
As mentioned the gear ratios are different, and the revmatch programming probably is too. Not sure what else.
Seem like a lot of work to do on a GT. Have you considered just trading for a DH?
