You are conflating resale value with an investment. No one is arguing that buying a car is a good investment, or that a new car doesn't depreciate. But some cars hold their value better that others. And the S650 is not holding its value as well as previous generations.
All generations of the Coyote have had it to some degree. That goes all the way back to 2011. To date, im not aware of a single failure related to this. If fact, Coyotes seem to have a pretty solid reputation for reliability overall. If this were a real mechanical issue, we would have found out...
Well the sound is normal for that intake, and its not hurting anything. Don't get worked up over it. You may experience someting similar with the JLT too.
Did you not know the car was modded when you bought it?
No. Ive driven several of these cars and never heard a whistle like that. Its because of his aftermarket intakes. The website even advertises noise changes to the car with that kit.
I asked about the tune because most aftermarket intakes kits require it. But I googled that K&N kit and it doesnt say seem to require one. They are boasting 18.84 hp which is ridiculous. And it looks like the PO spend over $800 on that. 🤦
Keep an eye out on marketplace or offer up for a take of...
No, I heard the video. It's definitely there. Im 99% sure thats from the aftermarket intakes. Which is a shame because those are completely useless on the S650. Just learn to live with it, or find some OEM airboxes on marketplace. Its not hurting anything.
