Let's take a step back and reassess.
I realize you are new to the forum and enthusiastic, and that's great. We've all been there. But lets not be silly and say you being an active member isn't appreciated because I disagree with you. Lol
You start a lot of new threads and ask lots questions...
People on this forum love spending other people's money. 🤣
70k aint chump change even if you have it. I had a Mach 1 with a Tremec before my current GT. The Dark Horse is esentially the same car, so I can vouch for how good it is. That said, I dont think its measurably that much better than a...
Brother, from what I've seen here, you dont do anything simple. You're the very definition of over thinking.
Your buying a Mustang GT with the performance pack, not a Cadillac. You dont need to do any racing to enjoy the handling the car was engineered for and YOU paid for. But thats just my 2...
Ok. It's hard to keep track of all the comparison calculators you posted. You definitely dont do simple. Lol
The thing your missing is the stagger, which means steering feel and grip. But honestly you're already putting 20" all seasons on a performance pack car. I truly dont think you grasp how...
I personally wouldn't want to lose any grip in the rear. Wider upfront is also going to effect your steering feel. I dont see the upside here.
Did you order the car yet?
Honestly, it seems like you are just fishing for anecdotal stories to justify driving on summer tires year round. Like @wesg79 said, there is plenty of info about cracking tires in low temps online. My lack of personal experience doesnt change physics. Good luck. 👍🏻
Cracking, no. But they turn into hockey pucks and I have fish tailed on PS4s in 40⁰ weather. I'm sure temps would have to get a lot lower for cracking. But im certainly not going to find out. Summer Tires in cold weather are no Bueno. I'm curious why you are still so skeptical of this.
Totally worth it. I have cermaic coated my last 4 cars and dont regret any of them. They shine even when dirty and are way easier to clean. The sacrificial layer from the coating means you dont have to worry about micro scratches, water spots, or bird shit.
All cermaic coating are not created...
For what purpose? 3.15s LSD are standard on non Performance Pack GTs. 3.55 LSD are an optional upgrade and will be on the window sticker.
Performance pack GTs have 3.73s torsen for manual, and 3.55s torsen for automatics.
Based on that, it's pretty easy to tell. 👍🏻
You can buy aftermarket spares. And they sell one that will clear the 6 piston Brembos if thats a worry. And they're probably cheaper than anything from Ford. I certainly would not let having factory spare tire influence my decision in selecting a trim package.
