You can deactivate the lane keeping system in the menu system. Go through your cars settings menu and go through it item by item. You'll find there's a lot to customize.
yes the screens don't bother me once I sit behind the wheel as well. I got used to them quick.

I drove my 06 Mustang GT for 17 years. Once an alternator failed. That's it. So far my new GT is fine.
for the most part, show me a perfect car where there is 100% perfect production rate.
I don't keep it on the Tender 100% of the time, but on average I only get out maybe twice a week. After a drive I wait about 3 days before hooking it up. I don't even have to check voltage, because I know how long the tender takes to top it off to a float if all is well.
I used my battery tender on my Optima Red top on my last Mustang. That battery lasted over 10 years, and the only reason I had to swap it out was because the neg terminal corroded loose.
There is no harm in keeping a battery in top condition.
Now, does a daily driven need a tender? On paper...
I have the 1.25 amp Battery Tender. it tops off a well maintained battery in my GT within a few hours.
The first time you use it expect up to a few days before it tops off with 1.25 amp. But it will get there. It just goes to show you how badly these modern cars put a strain on these...
Agree, that's why I was referring to just visually. A quick glance at the dash tells me if the paddles are still overriding the auto mode or not.
Without the readout, just cruising in Normal, I pretty much know I'm in 10th gear anyway.
I like the display the way it is. if I'm in auto and use the paddles, the gear select shows, and once it goes back to full auto, it disappears, letting me know the paddle mode timed out.
If it displays the gear all the time, how would you know if the paddle override timed out visually?
I've lived driven all over south Jersey and PA. It's just the awful people that drive on the roads. It has nothing to do with your car. I used to commute daily on I 95 and just knew I'd have at least 3 horrible road encounters on the way to work and 3 more coming home. Just awful people...
As far as I noticed gear selection only occurs using paddles.
Many times I have one hand on the wheel, so not using paddles is more convenient, also less lag than just hitting the accelerator.
The paddles are cool for sure! As an alternative, without using the paddles, how far down you press the accelerator determines what gear it drops down to. I can basically pick what gear to drop down to with the pedal alone.
I just create a custom drive mode with all my settings I want and just click the steering wheel drive mode button twice when starting. I don't even think about it at this point.
