There's nothing "backyard science" about Ceratec. Specialty shops have been using it for years and its quite commonly used by Porsche enthusiasts.
Now do you need it in your Mustang? - No.
Does it eliminate BBQ tick? - yes.
Will it hurt anything? - Absolutely not.
Black spoilers are an intentional design look and Ford has been doing them that way from the factory for years, including the S650 (night pony package and DH).
In this case I think the gloss black looks really nice with the grabber blue. And it matches the black trim from the grille and hood vent.
I see now, thanks. Much better pics. Even though the color is off I think the vinyl looks better IMO. But I have to wonder how durable thats going to be over time.

I believe there are climate settings you can program for start up. Not sure if its only for remote start, but you should go in the infotainment and check.
That is a totally separate noise called the 2k rattle. People on forums often conflate the BBQ tick and 2k rattle but they are two different things. Google 2k rattle and you'll find another rabbit hole to go down.

The inside tips have the active exhaust valves in them, the outside tips do not. This explains the difference in color. To clean out that carbon, put it in track mode and let her rip. 😎
