Outlier is a better word. I'm not a native so sometimes I'm struggling to find a more suitable word ;)
And I would love the S650 to do sub 4 seconds reliably. I just doubt we'll see these numbers. I'll gladly admit that I'm wrong if the numbers come in.
'Marketed as...' the S550 was marketed with 460hp and on the dyno they do 410-420 on average (wheel, I don't know why anyone would measure anything else)... Being 'capable of sub 4 seconds' is also a very vague phrase... Marketing at is finest š
The Tesla Plaid does sub 2 seconds*....

Maybe but just do some research yourself... There aren't any reliable videos out there showing anything but >4 seconds... The S550 has what, 420hp (wheel)?! There is simply no physical way it can compete with an AWD 480hp+ car like the M3 and that one does <4 seconds.
There are so many...
Then keep looking
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt 0-60 mph 4.4
2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Premium (Handling Pack) 0-60 mph 4.3
Those are the current numbers. Maybe someone somewhere in the world did get better numbers but on average 4.3 seconds is the time to beat. We'll not see anything...
We do get sequential indicators but not the ones US cars will have... There was a video a couple of months ago that showed the sequential indicators on EU cars. The bottom part (bottom quarter maybe) will be sequential... It looks weird and I would replace them... Better than what we have today...
The regulatory requirement is set worldwide by the IRC (international regulations for cars) and I quote from their legal text:
'Car manufacturers have to squeeze every fu... penny out of their customers by using the cheapest materials they can find in order to maximize their profits'

I still have my BMW will all the tech stuff but all I need is that amazing HUD. I hardly ever use anything else... Maybe the map in the center screen or Spotify as it is too small for my liking in the HUD but I rarely use the dash screen... It's not too pretty and all relevant information are...
Since S650 uses quite a lot of S550 stuff they might built them simultaneously? I doubt it though but that might be an option for a limited time period ā maybe a week or two?! Besides, if sales/deliveries of S650 start around summer (July?) they have a good two to three months to produce those...
They also offer entirely different driving experiences ;)
I guess everyone has a different interpretation of how a road trip should look like but mine wouldn't start in an EV unless it's maybe a caravan...
I firmly disagree. Although itās true that Mercedes has lost some of its interior superiority BMW has made some huge improvements throughout the F and G series. When I first test-drove the G20 in 2019 I immediately liked the car although Iāve never been a fan of the 3 series⦠The image was...
Hopefully but built quality could be an issue in MY24. Since the S650 really is a refreshed S550 I doubt that the workers in Flatrock have to be trained from the ground up so there is a chance that MY24 might be on the same level as MY22/23 in terms of panel alignment, paint quality and such...
Did anyone else reach out to their dealers and got a similar answer?
Maybe even in Europe? Although I doubt they have half the 'information' we have atm...
I strongly disagree. While most of us whish that they would 'do something nice' they'll rather do what's financially viable. The reality is that most buyers want the newest stuff and the new stuff will be the S650. Besides, all the magazines and these days Youtubers and so called content...
It is literally just that - the system can recognize the speed limit. However, ACC can slow you down if you want to. If not it won't. In my BMW I can also set ACC to a specific speed limit above what the sign says: letās say ACC detects a 100km/h speed limit sign. Normally the system would slow...
Is it worth it?
Yes.
-v8, MT, American Muscle
Is it worth it?
No.
TTV6 are faster/as fast at roughly the same price for an A401. They usually have a much better built quality and turbos can easily be tuned to a much higher degree.

According to AC Cars, they'll debut a new Cobra ("AC Cobra GT Roadster") in early 2023... Light weight, 600+ supercharged Coyote V8 power, convertible hard top...
Everything we want from the S650 or a S650 Cobra...
GT (convertible) in two different versions:
Race red
Black Accent Package (roof/spoiler/wheels/badges)
Black leather interior
Performance Pack
Active Exhaust
Tremec MT (only DH though...)
I'm pretty sure that some sort of green will be in the mix for MY25 or MY26 (maybe they need that color...
It'll be a SUV based coupe... Just look at Audi, BMW or Mercedes how they did their coupe versions of CUV/SUV based vehicles... They look aweful and I think BMW started it with its pathetic X6 back in the day...
However, there is an ever growing marked for these cars so you bet Ford will jump...
Well, law and reality donāt always go hand in hand⦠Like I said before itās almost impossible to inforce it unless youāre a car poser⦠Especially in western Germany there are quite a few morons that drive around in their AMGās and all they ever do is driving the same street up and down...
