@SHADOWBOT ..... not purgatory, just a normal wait I believe. In production also refers to the process of gathering all the build options. In the case of my 2026 that was active valve exhaust, space gray seats, B&O stereo up-grade with trunk woofer, spare tire, convertible top, and scheduling...
@2026FX ..... awesome. Please up-date us on the results and I, for one, would love to see some pictures. I rinsed my 2026 for the first time and the dust just rolled-off and left a few water beads which I used a specialty micro fiber towel from Amazon to drag across the car (using the weight of...
@DT-GT yes, correct. Search for the Ford Vehicle Tracker app. Then type in the dealer's order number and then your VIN and this should immediately produce a Ford timeline indicating where your vehicle is on the tracker time line and Ford will up-date progress as soon as there is activity.
@beefcake ..... AGREE ..... The guys RSA are AMAZING and are also MUSTANG EXPERTS. They have built some of the most durable and fastest Mustangs in the world. Their twin turbo 2000 WHP was called "The Lambo Killer" for good reason. 5 STAR outfit. Their transmission up-grades are spectacular!
@armyGT ..... I just did that - it doesn't hurt as much as you think but then I admit I used pharmaceutical grade vaseline. ...... Below - old 2024 vapor blue and new 2026 Molten Magenta.
@Jimbo33. I have owned a number of Mustangs including a 2024 GT and now a 2026 GT. I have experienced none of the problems you cite. As @D/\rK•650 said - I'd take a hard look at my insurance company and IMO I'd probably drop them. I had my doubts about the touch screen too but now I love it. If...
@Alex381..... so Feynlab has several levels of ceramic protection each costing more for the product. He offered a very decent ceramic program for $600.00. I chose Feynlab's best hydrophobic product Feynlab V3 and had the rims treated too - AND - to treat the rims I chose to have them removed...
@Poseur ..... being able to speak French I know what Poseur means but I wouldn't say that applies to you - you know waaay too much about vehicles for that name to stick - unless it refers to some other clandestine activity?
@Jirees98 ..... that piece should come out but there may not be a receptacle for a tow hook on the inside bumper. It may require the installation of a receptacle. I was told by my Ford dealer that the metal plate and receptacle was only installed on Mustangs that had the PP (performance package)...
After a LOT of research I decided to have my new 2026 Mustang GT premium convertible ceramic coated. It had about 15 miles on it when I drove it to the detailing shop. The detailer rinsed it, applied a neutralizer to remove contaminants (particularly steel dust from the railway stock yards...
@s197richie agreed. I do not have data on initial oil pressure on startup of recent engines BUT my 2024 and 2026 Mustang GT's initial oil pressure readings on the gauge were pretty high, I'd say about 4 bar that drops to 2 bar when hot. When we built racing engines we pre-filled the oil filters...
@Sofa King ...... respectfully disagree. Even with some marine racing engines that have upside down remote oil filters you can pre fill once with enough oil to at least saturate the oil filter media and in many cases even add a bit more.
@AZ_Ryan ..... you might be interested in a video on this subject by "The Oil Geek". I believe it would be worth your time. I had high performance Mercury Marine racing engines. I had a number of discussions with Mercury Racing about breaking them in and maintenance. Pre-filling the oil filters...
@ChitownStang ..... I hope I didn't come off as a know it all. My family has had a lot of engine maintenence and building history. the younger ones don't want to touch that - they're going for the wrx stuff. We built and dyno tested all the good stuff back in the day. The forum members are a...
@ChitownStang .....strongly disagree. For a recent discussion of pre-filling oil filters see The Oil Geek who did an empiracle study of this. My late uncle a Shell chemical scientist did a number of studies on the importance of pre-filling oil filters. When younger in our family shop (employing...
@s197richie ..... I know you're probably speaking metaphorically in your post. I am always polite with techs, explaing my request and I tip generously. If some AH in the oil bay was mad at some other guy then messed with my oil qulaity, to get "even" he better have a really comprehensive...
