  1. Whistling noise upon acceleration

I think the intake sounds normal. Attached is a picture of what these filters look like. At shutdown, there is still some unburnt fuel in the intake system, gasoline which can vaporize and escape to the atmosphere. The material of the trap captures and absorbs those fumes. Removing the trap/s...
  2. Is this normal clutch behavior?

I'm enclosing two threads on the topic of Clutch Delay Valves; they can help 1) smooth driveline shocks and 2) help prevent excessive clutch disc wear. The referenced 7G thread provides some good detail, but I don't think anyone confirmed if a valve or metered fitting is there. From several...
  3. Whistling noise upon acceleration

Welcome to the Forums. :fistbump: No need to apologize. It benefits everyone to ask the question. I'd like to hear the sound, but I lean towards it being the intake. After removing the carbon trap :bandit:and changing the stock filter with an aftermarket one :muscle::giggle: I've noticed a...
  4. Paint code for DH standard OEM 19" wheels (Tarnished Dark)

I'm seeing hits on CMWG as well. It's unfortunate that, while Ford readily publishes paint codes for body panels, they do not for wheels. If you can find and buy a small bottle, maybe paint something metal and place next to, to see how well it matches.
  5. Out of curiosity, what do you think happened to the side trim here?

Most people in the US drive trucks and SUVs. Customers probably think it's a running board. Forty percent of us are horizontally challenged. Occupants could be dragging their legs across it. There's a nice scratch across the face. If the guy running the vacuum would quit crashing into it...
  6. Dark Horse Spoiler price from Ford dealer parts: $8,174.19 🤣😳

I'm including @LevittownFordParts, to see if they can confirm that price or provide a quote for that part. :fingerscrossed:
  7. PPI found some problems, are they serious?

Car is out of state. Can you offer where or a link to the ad? We can help scrutinize it. The dealer can always say anything, but I'd ask why the vehicle was returned in the first month. Ask the dealer for an Oasis Report. The report will list all warranty work Ford performed on that vehicle.
  8. Smell of Coolant

Curious... We've had several people chime in the smell of coolant in otherwise healthy engines. I'm aware of two Members now with normal engines and drivetrains, but lower or trending lower coolant levels in their tanks. In the 6G forums, we seemed to have captured every noise, leak and oddity...
  9. OEM intake filters pre-oiled??

Some filters will come from the factory with a touch of silicone or other rubber lubricant on the gasket surfaces, to keep them in shape or produce a better seal. But the filter material itself should be dry. Oiled or wet filters can produce faults and issues with the Mass AirFlow sensor, the...
  10. Window Tint

You're aware of the legal limit for tints. We can't determine the accuracy of the device used by the police. Not to split hairs over a few percentages, but I'd go to a tint shop and have them measure in a few places. This will confirm where you're at. As to the LEO and being pulled over, you...
  11. New Engine - Weird feeling - OBD2 connector live data

Swapping an engine in a modern vehicle involves countless electronic connections. With respect to concerns #1 and #2, my first thoughts were of the Throttle Position Sensor, Mass Airflow Sensor or Ambient Air Sensors. Not that there is a fault with these items, but that maybe one of the...
  12. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

This, + 1. I can give an answer, but it's relative only to me. So...maybe ask yourself why you didn't buy something like that previously. And how taken you'd be with a DH successor or a 7G refresh. If you'd change yet again. No wrong answer. What works for one person's finances doesn't work...
  13. Anyone regrats their DH purchase?

The following is an analysis done on the 6G platform and looks at the differences between the Mach 1 HP and non-HP suspensions. The thread highlights how "chassis tuning" verbiage is used to advertise different Mustang trim levels. The initial post of this thread is going to get into the weeds...
  14. I'm a Korean waiting for the Mustang GT.

포럼에 오신 것을 환영합니다. :fistbump: 여기서 많은 것을 배울 수 있습니다. 차가 도착하면 사진을 올려주세요. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/introductions-welcome-thread-👋.156050/ Welcome to the forums. :fistbump: Much can be learned here. Please post pictures when the car arrives.
  15. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

Unfortunately, it's the worst possible time for anyone to sell any vehicle. - Winter - Model Year transition - Specific to the OP, 1st year of ownership - It's a sports car - Tariff policies were a contributing factor to previous buyer sentiment and current inventory. There was a surge of...
  16. for those that don't know - Pirelli US problems read -

Ya, sorry about that. I deleted that post after double-checking some things. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/continental-extremecontact-dws-06-plus DSWs in a 19 inch tire are pretty limited. In a 20 they are more incremental, given you can use the sidewalls offered. So...while DSWs are a great...
  17. Mustang PDI / New Car Decals, tags, documents

Skye had some stickers affixed to the windows, but the odds of saving those was close to zero; there was no way to remove without tearing them to pieces. The dealer did take photos of those before removal. Inside, I received several build and QC sheets, the ones used by the factory. At the end...
  18. VIN 001 Dark Horse SC sells for $1,250,000 at Barrett-Jackson Auction

The listing of "7-speed Automatic" could be caused by two things: - The page option designs (icons) available for their site - Some people call/consider Dual-Clutch Transmissions automatics. The distinction between the two isn't always understood by the people using the verbiage The car will...
  19. Riddle me this (trade-in values)

If a Member or someone you find has access to it, I've read several comments of "Black Book"; this is a service used by dealers to determine trade-in values, what they'd be willing to pay. For retail pricing comparables, I use Autotrader. It's granular, in search and vehicle features, allowing...
  20. .

Edit, "Special Service" and "Police Interceptor" modules. I have read of GOV catalogs for special purpose vehicles from Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc. They do offer state and GOV departments access to cars and trucks Joe Six-Pack cannot buy. Like LS engines in a Citation. LOL. You get the idea...
