Cool find.
I wouldn't be surprised to see subtle variations. We've seen similar with the Machs. Things like external lighting, wheel size, and as you noted, the spoiler. Changes could be for regulations involving fuel ratings, noise or safety standards. Packages or options could be...
It reads like you've not been using anything like a wax or sealer to protect the paint from the elements. What follows is some information that could help.
For all detailing, it's best to do on a cool vehicle, in low light and cool temps. This time of year, I wash in the early AM hours.
If...
I store my Mustang through the Winter. But I did for a few years drive in another 2WD, rear-drive vehicle.
It's challenging. Depth of snow, amount of ice on the surface. Just getting out of a parking lot could be an issue. Virtually everyone in my area relies on AWD or 4WD vehicles. Most of us...
Thank You for the research and the detailed write-up.
In other threads, several commented the inferred CHT (in-dash display) is higher than actual. Also by a touch.
Long story short...
As the o-ring is imbedded inside the drain plug, buy a spare and set it aside. Pick an interval where you replace the plug, let's say every five oil changes or something like that. If you notice a nick, something doesn't seem right, or it actually begins leaking, replace...
Gravitating to car forums, we don't read much of trucks. For those with and living in the US, read your insurance policy. Things like lifts, the amount of lift, tire size and other changes are being scrutinized more and more. Some insurers will ask for specific details upon renewal and adjust...
I have a V8, Manual Transmission as well.
Lugging any engine is a valid concern. But I would not rely on an minimum RPM to help alleviate that.
There is a distinction from previous engine generations and today's. Years ago, it was left to the driver to determine if lugging was occurring and...
The dealer and Ford won't lose as much money if you use that coupon.
Pathways:
- The car is repaired and returned to service
- OP files for a refund under Idaho's Lemon Laws. OP is entitled to get back the price of the vehicle, less use, taxes, fees, maybe some other expenses. Ford buys the...
Not every event it worthwhile.
A grassy field is a fail. Mud, rocks, holes, risk of fire and the terrain potentially not supporting the weight or tire of some vehicles.
Night events present their own issues. As does people drinking en-masse. Look for events which are specific to cars, not...
I was involved in a fuel pump recall on the S550. By coincidence, I met the mobile technician to clear that recall today, so I asked her about the S650 wiper motor recall.
While she had not done one on the S650, she'd done multiple wiper motor recalls on other models. For each, it was an...
I'm attaching a few documents, covering detailed specifications for the models discussed.
Shelby America offers brochures. For specific details, I'm sure they'd respond to an e-mail or call.
Maybe look on eBay for comparables and what they are pricing at.
If considering shipping as part of the transaction, take one to UPS or FedEx to get a cost.
You can then list ads here and on eBay, while displaying them at the local Cars & Coffee.
I've been doing some data mining the last few days (because that's what all the cool kids do). :giggle:
Number of DH on offer at Autotrader, nationwide: 883
New: 590
Used: 293
Number of Mach1s on offer at Autotrader, nationwide: 129. Of a population we suspect of 18,000.
People don't have a...
Ford probably has a GTD-specific profile that includes their use. Using the examples above, there'd be an additional line to support a lithium. And might have more parameters elsewhere to support the GTD charging system in racing environments.
For people with other types of Mustangs who...

The Ford Service Info site is an option for the Ford procedures, the same ones the dealer techs use.
Three-day access for $30. Once logged in, you can download as many files as you like.
The procedures involve anything you can think of...
I thought @DHorse24 meant Window Sticker.
So the door placard will reference tire size. And from that, it's another tell if the car was produced as a base or HP. But the placard will not define other options.
Another good reference when scrutinizing is the order guide for that Model Year...
👆This.
The original window sticker should be the primary means in determining if the car was built with the HP option.
A secondary method or additional confidence booster is look at the door jamb placard, for the tire size. The tires listed should match an HP car.
A third way, in the 6G cars...
