  1. Broke stud While Installing Strut Tower Brace

It might pay to check calibration of your torque wrench. Google the procedure. I've got one torque wrench that sometimes doesn't reset, and overtightens without clicking. Guess how I discovered that.
  2. Vapid Dominator GT (10R80, 401A, PP, AE, NPP, MR, Recaro)

There's a ton of spies around at the moment then.
  3. Road Insanity

I meant walking barefoot on spit.🤢
  4. Watch Max Verstappen and Chris Harris drive the Mustang GTD!

So My wife's car has the legendary VAG quality, tight even panel gaps, pretty good paint quality etc, etc. That is until I started fitting wiring for a radar detector, phone charger etc and found fabric insulation not fitted into place, improperly fitted plastic bits, etc. Nothing that's a deal...
  5. Road Insanity

The only thing that really bugged me was public spitting. But that's so common, and disgusting, now with born Kiwis that it's not just a Chinese thing any more. What's worse, walking barefoot is common with Kiwis too.
  6. Road Insanity

    The girls were
  7. Road Insanity

Yep, imagine if you were on a bike? Every trip a NDE.
  8. Road Insanity

I was driver testing when NZ had the mass influx of Chinese immigrants in the late 90's. Now I don't have a problem with Chinese people, I've had two Chinese gilfriends and a couple of Chinese mates, I quite like them, but they are the most horrific drivers. One example, the woman who slammed...
  9. Pre-Collision Assist and pedestians

We get those wâš“ ers here too, acting staunch as they saunter across the road. It's very tempting to nail it, but I hate cleaning any kind of s**t off my car. I saw an Aussie vid recently where cylists were holding up traffic on purpose, until a bogun in a Falcon did nail it and blasted through...
  10. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

Not sure about the toasty feeling, but I must have fallen asleep quickly. Then woke up in hospital. I hate the cold so not my choice for voluntary checking out.
  11. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

OK then, a bit much. What's a GT PP over the base car?
  12. Vapid Dominator GT (10R80, 401A, PP, AE, NPP, MR, Recaro)

A really inconspicuous car for a spy, Mr Bond. Where did you fit the Brownings?
  13. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

Go and wash your mouth out, and hand over your keys.
  14. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

Having seen the price of Brembos on other makes, $2000+ is a bargain. At least it is here. Personally speaking, performance brakes are a must if you drive "enthusiastically".
  15. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

I don't know, but there are systems that are controlled remotely.
  16. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

Does the base car have Brembos? I'd go for the auto (unless you hate them) and fit an after market active system. You can't fit magnaride to a car that doesn't have it (I'm told) and I like all the extra goodies in the GT PP.
  17. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

Yeah, I never ever thought, I'm really sick of shifting gears. How about a hand clutch and foot shift in a car?
  18. ZR1X is fixin to run 6:49 at the Ring

Time will tell. Have you seen the Porsche 919 lap? That was super human. I get the impression that the 'Ring is a bit like IoM. In MotoGP Rossi was/is the GOAT, but he said he'd never ride at the TT.
  19. Carbon Filter RWHP?

Yeah, but I'm lazy. Easier to service filters.
