  1. Shine/Protect Chemicals

Why not ceramics, if I may ask? I used to use Meguiars, but it seems that's not highly regarded among the seroius detailing crowd.
  2. Ended up with a Dark horse

OK, I was kidding actually. My wife is similar, we discuss every purchase except cosmetics, clothes and hair stuff ( for her) and I don't want to know anyway. It'd probably be worth more than a Whipple every year. When I mentioned buying the Mustang she jumped at it. Probably fondly remembering...
  3. Best Quality Spacers!?

The reason I avoid spacers is because they shift the load path on the wheel bearings, and disrupt steering geometry to a greater or lesser degree. Unless they are used to correct a wrong offset in a wheel.
  4. Mode Selection on Steering Wheel

Sport and Track modes are very much more responsive than normal. That's why I'm seeing which I like best. Paddles are probably better in that I can choose the gear I want. BTW, your toggles are usually called paddles for some reason. Probably Clarkson started it when he called them flappy...
  5. Best Quality Spacers!?

Why do you want that much offset? There are downsides to spacers that get worse the wider they are.
  6. Ended up with a Dark horse

How long, or how many times have you been married? They have the VAG veto, never forget it.
  7. Mode Selection on Steering Wheel

Both paddles or sport mode will do the job. I haven't decided which I prefer for overtaking yet.
  8. New recall: water intrusion into BCM and connectors (25C43/25V546)

That's amazing, my record was 12 years with an MX5. Mind you, the gearbox was the only original mechanical part left.
  9. New recall: water intrusion into BCM and connectors (25C43/25V546)

I have to admit I do the same. Any excuse to drive the thing.
  10. Possible camber issue/inside of front tires worn

The owner should be shot. Then given a severe talking to.
  11. Vapid Dominator GT (10R80, 401A, PP, AE, NPP, MR, Recaro)

That car looks phenominal in the European setting for some reason. Doesn't it make the Audi look plain? It makes me very glad I grabbed the Grabber Blue car.
  12. Does 5.0 coyote performance improve with octane?

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Did you have an oil temp gauge in that car, or any other way of reading oil temp? When that car was running at normal temps again, surely the oil would have been hotter too , probably over 212F and evaporating water and volatile contaminants?
  13. New recall: water intrusion into BCM and connectors (25C43/25V546)

Yeah, spending half as much twice as often is a real saving
  14. Possible camber issue/inside of front tires worn

That's true, camber can cause edge wear on outside and inside edges. But the point is that it's not the only cause. Suspension geometry is a fascinating subject, so much is interrelated. A good suspension Tech is worth his weight in tyres. Another factor is the driver, if someone drives hard on...
  15. Possible camber issue/inside of front tires worn

Not just camber. As I said, it could be toe out. I've never heard of such a direct relationship of camber to tyre life. Where did you see that? FWIW I have worked in an alignment shop.
  16. Higher Oil Temps After Sw Update??

I know, just musing on why people fixate.
  17. Possible camber issue/inside of front tires worn

That could be excess negative camber or toe out, an alignment is in order. I have to say I'm shocked it's down to the belts, that's seriously dangerous.
  18. Gauge cluster memory issue.

I'd be concerned about the scumbag effect. We have quite a few of them who'd rip that out just for fun.
  19. Higher Oil Temps After Sw Update??

It might be the boiling point thing, but even coolant can go over that when pressurised.
