If they matched the weight and horsepower of my car for 75K to 80K
I am guessing the aero and chassis tuning is better on the Dark Horse then on my car - heck even the horsepower is good at 500 - I really just wish they kept the weight closer to what my car weighs....
Part of this is just all...
Well in 1915 you could get a Model T for $405 and it only weight 1500 pounds.... ...not only that but they sold 215K - way more compared to the 24 Mustang.....
Its very obvious the 24 Mustang is too heavy and too expensive..... : P
If Ford cared-
Aluminum Body Panels like the F150 to save weight
Steering from the GT350 for the Dark Horse
Tremec only
More integrated digital dash (Im not anti-digital but I think it could have been integrated better)
On the positive- I think the HP gain was good
I wish Ford would...
I would spend the extra money on the PP then.....
Ecoboost with PP has a nice balance with less weight over the front wheels- if you enjoy corners - I wouldnt go from a EcoBoost PP to a non PP GT .....
I think it all depends on what car you are coming from.....
If you are coming from a truck jeep cuv suv or a Mustang built in the 80s or 90s or even early 2000s then a non PP GT is going to feel like a freaking race car ....
If you are coming from a more modern sports car- opinions can vary /...
Also I don’t understand Fords plan …
They go Dark Horse because… well I guess I’m an old because I want a more traditional name … and Ford is moving forward for a new generation…
But wait… California Special… 60th anniversary… fox body gauges
Are we supposed to be moving forward or not...
If anything… besides being a new model… if Camaro and challenger are dead… and Mustang is the only v8 muscle car left… you would think that they would see a sales increase from that as well…
The only reason the Mustang sells more is because of the ecoboost
People are not cross shopping a c8 and an ecoboost Mustang …
Take away ecoboost sales and I’m guessing the C8 sells better
People acting like ford is selling 5k 65k mustangs a month lol
And as far as who uses back seats in...
This with some fast and furious flames…
OP if you want to make your Mustang shoot fake flames like a fast and furious movie …. Please start off with an EcoBoost and don’t do it to a dark horse
as a pure track car… I also agree the Coyote is more reliable… and yes not everyone likes the sound… for those of us that do though… it’s a love it or hate it type of car for sure…
Im guessing most of Ford Mustang sales come from EcoBoosts- not GTs
I would say the Dark Horse is more of a direct comparison to a C8- and more people are buying C8s then Dark Horses (assuming Ford is not selling 3K Dark Horses a month)
I dont think its fair to let Ford pump out a gazillion...
I vote you go Huracan or McLaren … I have multiple friends who own both and have gotten quite a bit of seat time in them… I have not driven a C8 z06 but the driving experience in the exotics is far superior to the C8
I would also throw the NSX into your list… they need downpipes and exhaust to...
First quarter sales were down -6.8% compared to last year....not a massive downward spike
But the dealers around here have TONS of them on the lots so its not a supply issue....
I wouldnt call the S650 a failure as its not like sales are off 50% - but I dont think there is the sales spike they...
Yep … then take into consideration all the track attack ford sponsored events …
All the hype about it being track ready …
The guy who went to mediation had all the Ford literature to show… exc exc exc
The consensus was if you take your car into any track event …
Don’t post about it...
