The one thing that seems to unite S650 and S550 Coyote owners is many from both S650 and S550 camp seem to think the VooDoo in the GT350s is an unreliable ticking time bomb lol
I think there was a thread just a few days ago that framed Shelby owners as old boomers obsessed with a dead guy who...
In Southern California and the few dealers I drive past everyday… the 24s are stacking up…they still have the same first 24s they took delivery on months ago out front …
dark horses are sitting at the dealers with mark ups…. There are a few dark horses at msrp … this is in Orange County...
Since your talking 3.55 are you going A10?
edit … if you are going A10 I wouldnt go to 4.09 … 1st is ultra short in the A10 ...with a 4.09 gear it would be useless- think stump puller vs performance
Im wondering what they would call the "next step up" car- if no GT500....I mean Boss 302 I would think is more like a Dark Horse...maybe Boss 429? but no 429 engine..... maybe Dark Horse GTS or something?
Yes....RCF....have heard one with exhaust and it actually sounded pretty damn good..... from what I understand (never driven one personally so this is second hand) nice cars- but driving dynamics not on par with Dark Horse/Mach 1 exc.
GT500 will always be better than a supercharged Dark Horse because the suspension is designed around the extra weight of the supercharger where the dark horse is not. The car is perfectly balanced as is… throw a few hundred pounds over the front wheels and things change ..
and I can tell you...
Yep pretty much lol the funny part is it would be interesting to see how much experience people have with all of these different cars ...
I have owned a 16 GT A6, a 19 PP1 A10 car, and now my car - but have also driven
I forgot exactly how many - but 5-6 S550 GT500 base cars
24 GT A10
3-4...
The Michelin tires were designed exclusively for the GT350R, and they have a special compound and tread pattern.

There is more then just this article on it but when I go to buy tires for my car… there is a cup 2 and then...
I think we got lost with the racing stuff
Dark Horse
Different suspension brakes and bumpers and a tuned Coyote
gt350 takes all of that and adds
Carbon composite radiator support
Lower hood line
Fenders .5 inches wider then the Mustang
Really everything a pillar forward is completely...
I previously owned a 67 GT500 and yes- definitely once Ford took over.....many of the purists only consider the cars built by Shelby American in the 60s a true Shelby .....
A little video of me treating my GT500 like a real investment lol
Got Time To Burn? We've Got Tires To Burn! (youtube.com)
Now given the unreliability of these cars.....you got to figure we are going to go through at least 2 or 3 motor replacements....I mean its almost like getting an annual oil change for most of us..... I mean hell no wonder the values are so high - this is a billion dollar car easy!!
Interesting question...no idea what the average price per car turned out to be..... $500 - yes give me the name....
If it was 20K - call it the My Little Pony for all I care if it comes with a VooDoo lol
Funny because Dark Horses are selling below sticker and 4 year old Shelbys are still selling over sticker ....yep their time has definitely come and gone.... I mean all of these Heritage Edition cars selling for way over 100K ....
PS I still love the Dark Horse but you guys are cracking me up-...
