  1. AT Shifting poorly when cold

Mine runs around 65C to 80C in normal street driving. I always start driving in engine/trans normal mode.
  2. Looking for upgrades for track use (novice driver)

If you really want to make improvements, start with trackday tyres, (if you haven't already) and a track alignment. Personally, I haven't found body roll to be an issue, and a stiffer front bar will increase understeer.
  3. S650 steering wheel button paint peeling

There's always those back ventilated, kangaroo skin driving gloves to keep the buttons looking good, and you looking like a 1950's British driving God. Handlebar mustache optional.
  4. How often do you have passengers in the backseat?

Yes, and they fold down, which is brilliant for that impulse buying of shelving units.
  5. Ungoverned top speeds

It'd be interesting to see the CDa number for a stock GT. That's a bigger jump than I guessed.
  6. How often do you have passengers in the backseat?

I can't think of anyone I hate enough to offer a ride in the back to. I did once have two young ladies in my MX5. That was interesting.
  7. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

The clutch throwout bearing will be constantly under load doing that. That's what will wear.
  8. Looking for upgrades for track use (novice driver)

When you're learning to drive fast, I find it's better to learn in a car that gives good feedback at lower speeds. A good example is Toyota fitting the first 86's with eco tyres. That would slide and rotate like it was doing a rallycross, but gently enough for newbies to catch it. I wouldn't do...
  9. S550 vs S650

Sure, the Mustang handling can be improved. Better quality shocks and tying down the rear susp better would help. But, having had a 300 hp FWD hot hatch, that was a killer on twisty roads, the Ford doesn't give a lot away. I was surprised at the turn in and front grip in the tight stuff, I...
  10. S550 vs S650

Yep, I'm young. 74 next time round, and I like the screens.
  11. Things you wish you took a photo of

I lock my gun away from our cat. I don't completely trust him. He gets a strange look in his eyes when he doesn't get his way😈
  12. S550 vs S650

As I said, there are screens, and there are useless hateful abominations of screens needing multiple levels of success before you can drop the temps by 1 degree. And, don't get me started on haptic feedback buttons. It was probably the glorified tablet display as much as the looks that made me...
  13. SALLY and Delilah aka DD first ride

Happy Birthday doggo. What did she get for her birthday? Anything she damn well wanted? 😁
  14. Auto fold side mirror option....

Then imagine a righty having his right arm in a sling for 6 weeks after an RCL repair. It is amazing how you adapt though.
  15. Auto fold side mirror option....

I have to agree with shifting. Using your right hand feels much more natural.
  16. SALLY and Delilah aka DD first ride

    Is it a Mastiff?
  17. S550 vs S650

I think the S550 interior looks dated, the S650 looks up to the minute. I like the screen interface much better than our Euro cars, it just works better. You can change seat and interior temps by pushing one screen button each, what's hard about that? The rest is on auto setting. The bottom line...
  18. My first photo shoot...

I'm not normally a red fan these days, but a convertible in red looks super sharp.
  19. Auto fold side mirror option....

    Not to mention waving🖕
