Mine stays indoors during wet weather too... just got the fordpass notification that it went to sleep yesterday (been 3 or 4 weeks since I drove it). I don't do convertibles anymore, but when I did, above 32 and sunny was a top down occasion here in the NW!
According to the wiring diagrams, if there are no DDM or PDM, the turn signal wiring comes from the BCM. All may not be lost... still need to open a door and look...
Perhaps 7E0-02-02 Radiator Flow Control Options (RFCO) for shutters... no one has figured out the amber DRLs as far as I know...
While I can't say that no forscan programming is needed... plugging in the mirrors would certainly tell if the wires are there and enabled. You can look at the plug and see if pin #3 is populated (in case it doesn't work)... and there appears to be loads of stuff referring to "turn_lamp" in BCM...

It's your imagination... :crackup: couldn't resist... I would definitely notice something like that too... but, mine still starts loud for several seconds then goes to quiet mode.
Also included (from CAFE standpoint) is the Mach-E... if you saw Richard Hammonds Mustang video, remember to wave and give a big thank you to Mach-E drivers while out in your DH or GT.🙄 (and us EcoBoost drivers!)
The factory alignment leaves much to be desired. They are usually out of spec in at least one parameter... luckily Ford will cover alignment within the first 12 months...
Put on a K&N C.A.I. yesterday. The dyno sheet says +19 hp and +18 tq... don't know if that will register on the butt dyno, but it's a step in the right direction. Only took a short drive into town, so didn't get much time to check. I did notice that the inlet air temp seemed lower, and after it...
