I'd be looking for a gently used 2023 or 2024 depending on your preferences.
The 2023 is not a bad car.
The 2024 is a better car than the 25 or 26 just on price alone, add in what Ford took out of the cars to cheapen them up and the 24 is even a better deal.
My 87 Alfa Milano needs ABS/Wheel speed sensors.
They are made out of unobtanium.
We have not found a suitable replacement for them
When I needed a spare key for my 74 GTV2000, I called The Paddock in CT (Where Roger Barr works) as they are a known Alfa guru with knowledge of where parts can...
When manufacturers stop supporting the software ( think Microsoft ) we are FUBAR'd
Want to replace what is essentially the fuse box under the hood of a car? Ooops that is a module, IF you have a certain level of software in your shop you can rewrite the VIN and other information so the car...
I don't know if I would have made the lower hole a hex, sharp corners are an invitation for stress cracks, round holes from an engineering point of view IMHO always work best
wow there was not a lot of room for error there, you basically had one very small area to work with, the hood lines kept you just to the right and left of the center section and the upper tie bar on the core support wouldn't let you go to any closer to the outside edge of the hood than where you...
try to revive a C4 Corvette
Electrolytic capacitors leaking due to old age and destroying circuit boards
Parts like blend door actuators not being available OEM or in the aftermarket.
Ignition systems (OptiSpark) being taken out by leaking water pumps
Radios and amplified speakers ( Bose)...
The 5th gen Camaro has Holden, formerly an Aussie GM division underpinnings, the GM Zeta platform, another case of a manufacturer, and GM is famous for this, using another design to make a US market car with a lot of the tooling and R&D already paid for.
The last generation Camaro was built on...
less than 45,000 units last year, this years sales are no better
Ford does not release sales data for 3 years after the model year ends, do it will be September 2027 until I can find out what sort car I have out of those 44,253 cars produced.
Now if we look to 1970, there were 198,239 Mustangs...
GM makes money on every vette that sells above something like $90K
They will milk the C8 mid engine platform for another 10 years, by then all the tooling and design costs will be recovered.
Ford is looking at the 7g and saying they saved a lot of money by using a lot of the same tired design...
Glock has not had a KaBOOM problem in years since .40 is a dying caliber and anyone that owns one knows not to re-chamber a round more than once due to the feed ramp angle causing bullet setback
Now Sig, THEY have a problem. You could not give me a Sig right now, but I am pretty deep into...
The ZX1R is rumored to still have another 10 seconds in it they did not wring out of it.
The track conditions were not ideal, they had a GM engineer driving it and not a professional that knew the ring like the back of their hand
If Sabine Schmidt was still alive I bet she would have gotten...
Do you know any Ford techs?
The EcoBoosts are a disaster, timing sets at 60K miles. Water pumps that are not driven off the timing belt but still behind the timing cover
a few years ago the Nephew of the guy I work with who is the lead mechanic at a large Ford dealer came in and was telling us...
Ford is recalling cars by the hundreds of thousands
Their engine reliability in everything but the 5.0 Coyote s iffy at best, Eco Boosts are more like EcoBOMBS
GM and Ford are on a race to the bottom for second and third place, Chrysler already got 1st.
People ask me what kind of car they...
Well you can assume the pins are going to go into the upper tie bar on the core support
Someplace where there is not a wiring harness under where you will be drilling, no radiator under the area etc. and symmetrical
If you watch the GTD video from Jay Leno's Garage when they open the hood you...
The only issue I have with the AT 10 speed is the shift points, and I am told that now that people have gotten into the computer for tuning purposed it is just a matter of time before someone gets a nice tune for the transmission.
For the way and amount I drive the car, I can paddle shift it in...
