Has been like this for some time at BMW. Alpina make a much better job of it using the same cars so it doesn't have to be that way.
One of the big problems is cars are getting so heavy, if they are lighter you can use much softer springs and less aggressive damping so you can have a good ride...
I've quoted your insulting comment 4 times now - again just below. If you don't think this is insulting to Mustang owners you will have a short time on here.
Mustang buyers don't have a clue and probably wouldn't know the difference between disc brakes and drum brakes. Hell, most can't drive a...
I will do, but 26 messages in, you have managed to demean the intelligence of all Mustang buyers on a Mustang Forum. Do you really think your contribution below is likely to get you taken seriously? I would try moderating yourself and expressing your views in a more considered way going forward...
Seems they 'all' don't!
What is the Average Life of a Car? (Vehicle Lifespan) | Cascade Collision
Getting better with modern construction and tolerances but 'not that long ago a car did well to get to 100k miles.'
You can make anything last for ever if you throw enough money at it (classic...
You were the one insulting Mustang drivers and their intelligence.
'Mustang buyers don't have a clue and probably wouldn't know the difference between disc brakes and drum brakes. Hell, most can't drive a stick!'
No car has EVER been designed to do this. No car has been designed to do half of this!
There have been cars that manage this but the vast majority don't. If you want that sort of resilience you will need to pay a lot more money for your cars!
4 speed gearbox! Wow 'get me horse'!
You know when a thread has run it's course when homophobic memes start.
I drive a 10R80 and it has absolutely nothing to do with my sexuality. My Vapor blue S650 is on the way, I suppose that is a threat to my masculinity too?
The difference is I have an opinion based on a Mustang with Magneride, as do the other posters above.
You seem to be arguing against yourself suggesting that the magneride (Z06) is great, but then Mustang people are too stupid to notice the difference.
I will leave it for others to decide on...
Which is your opinion and nothing more.
Based on the views of many others in this thread, including me, the view is the opposite of yours.
Do you even have a Mustang and does it have Magneride?
Erm Magneride is ideal for general road use, so just the opposite of what you are saying!
Certainly doesn't make it harder to sell here, it helps the car to sell second hand!
Don't waste your time as the OEM sub is rubbish. You may be able to find an oem enclosure from somewhere but realistically an aftermarket option is better.

It's the same sub and enclosure as the S550 so this thread will apply
Be grateful it doesn't have to sit outside, be put on a ship for two weeks, sit on another dock, get loaded on a truck before it even reaches the dealer! It's a car not a block of cheese! They are made to live outside!
