They have to be homologated to Euro 7 to be sold when Euro 7 is introduced. That applies to any car for sale, including standard S650 GT. Just because they are Euro 6.2 now doesn't mean they will not have to be Euro 7 when it is introduced.
It just isn't I'm afraid.
Nobody has decrypted the S650 after a year of production in the US and when Euro 7 comes in it will be impossible, even if you can decrypt it, as the car will just stop working.
On-Board Monitoring of Emissions in the Future Euro 7 Standard (sae.org)
Yes, but Euro 7 (or whatever it is going to be called) will be introduced soon. I think it may end up Euro 6.n rather than 7, but the OBM is included in that proposal.
S650 is Euro 6.2 currently, but hopefully will become whatever it needs to be rather than them just stop selling it!
Which means it will not happen. No tuning company has the resources to get type approval for a remap.
The real problem is not just the encryption but also that for Euro 7 (or enhanced Euro 6 as it will now be) there will need to be an undefeatable monitoring system of the car that will stop...
I have not ordered a DH
The thread is about the EU configurator not specifically the DH
Point not missed on the handling pack at all - it will not be available in the EU for the reason I stated
No nonsense posted
Most cars, even without a spare tyre, don't have runflats. They come with a can of gunk.
Road cars with runflats have nothing to do with 'pro racers'. Of course race cars don't have runflats!
Runflats can ruin ride quality for sure.
Oh OK. We don't get the non-performance package cars over here.
Shame as I have Continental Sport Contact 7's on my S550 and they are fabulous tyres, better than the PS4S's that it came with.
Can be, but also depends what and how you use the car. Had both manual and auto myself in all sorts of different cars, but love the 10R80 as a daily driver which is what my Mustang is used for.
Such a shame any discussion on gearboxes so often descends into childish insults and suggestions...
I think you must have posted this about 20 times on various threads! They will sell a few hundred Mustang's a year without any problems, which is all they are trying to do. It is a minute market so we are lucky we get it at all. There are several people on here who have already ordered so...
Now you accuse me of being a liar when all I have done is repost YOUR comments. You said 'Mustang buyers' and you admit some are forum members!
But it doesn't matter because you are finally, bit by bit, rowing back. Thank you.
Does this mean by the way that some forum members are weak minded...
Just seems odd that somebody joins a forum and immediately calls the members clueless. As somebody else pointed out, a somewhat arrogant approach.
The irony is he reckons he has ordered a Mustang with Magneride, so his advice to the OP should have been yes tick the option, unless he is the only...
