  1. Lane keeping assist - A cautionary tale

It has nothing to do with relying on AI! You clearly didn't read what Keith wrote. The car is type approved in the UK and Europe and tested on our roads.
  2. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

Not possible in a modern car as they will not start without being in park and foot on the brake (auto) or clutch in (manual) for that very reason How are you getting on with your BMS research?
  3. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

There are on private forums - people get banned from here
  4. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

Because some of us are not very nice :giggle:
  5. What is this noise from oil cap? And why is there a "gap" in air/oil separator

Then start your own thread or carry on with one of the others.... My 2019 ticked, my 2024 ticks
  6. What is this noise from oil cap? And why is there a "gap" in air/oil separator

Why are you trying to turn the thread into another pointless BBQ tick thread? They have always and will always tick, some louder than others and it is normal.
  7. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

Another thread that gone to seed......
  8. Pirelli tyres

The P Zero on the S550 and the PZ4 on the S650 are very different tyres
  9. What's your go-to post wash wax?

Well not quite true, I'm old enough to have tried a few different products over the years.
  10. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

That is obviously an AI driven search response - where does that link lead too? Trying a similar search myself generates a similar response with links leading to Youtube and Reddit discussions that then link to what to do if your car oil filter cannot be pre-filled after an oil change, which...
  11. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

This is a very good point. How much pressure and distribution are you getting from an oil pump turning at 250rpm? It could be much worse for the valve train than a normal start with prolonged turning over at low pressure. 'It's obvious, it's common sense', but is it actually true?
  12. What's your go-to post wash wax?

CARNAUBA WAX CONCENTRATE Bullet wax - US 'recipe' . Works a treat and extremely easy to use after drying the car. Good value if you buy the concentrate and make it up yourself.
  13. Pirelli tyres

I found the PS4S became fairly poor below 0C giving some exciting exits from roundabouts! I changed to Continental Sport Contact 7 on my S550 and they were MUCH better. They have a different branding in the US market, but the same tyre. I would say the PZ4's on my S650 are a match for the CSC7...
  14. Pirelli tyres

Me too. You always have a choice to not drive in snow!
  15. Pirelli tyres

No problem for me at all so far (-4C this morning). They are certainly better than the PS4S I had on my S550 but just be gentle with your right foot. The worst seems to be salted roads around 0C here in the UK when damp. Cold and dry, no problem, snow and ice - why would you drive in that in a...
  16. Just had the recall done. Is this normal?

Surely if you are trading in to a Ford dealer it isn't a problem, after all their workshop will be paid to do the recall before they sell it? here in the UK we are currently doing exactly that and the dealer had no problems, they will simply do the recalls before they sell it. Now if you were...
  17. TSB updated to add the typewriter tick on the 2024 models

Wow how paranoid are you? Oh I guess where you are from you trust nobody. Look at your immigration department. Get a grip - no idea what politics have got to do with the typewriter tick. If it was a problem there would be broken Coyotes everywhere - and there aren't.
  18. Mustang owner's color preferences

Some cars need to be a vivid colour to stand out, the Mustang doesn't. In fact as a daily driver a little bit of subtlety goes a long way.
  19. TSB updated to add the typewriter tick on the 2024 models

Ford clearly do know what causes it, they know it causes no damage and they have publicly declared it via the TSB. Because they have not told you the details doesn't mean they don't know.
  20. TSB updated to add the typewriter tick on the 2024 models

The Coyote ticks, they always have, they always will to a greater or lesser extent. And yet there is still post after post on the subject that goes absolutely nowhere. Just drive the car and don't worry about it folks....
