Dam sorry this happened. This would have been me too, I have the best terrible luck with things like this. I'd go the store route and check if it's covered under there insurance. If no love then I'd get some estimates and i would also decide on the repair if your deductible is gonna cover it and...
Im sorry I don't have any answer for you as forced induction is something I don't know much of. These cars can be extremely fininicky with battery voltage being low or bad batteries. Maybe put your car on a tender and check the voltage make sure it's normal and not low. Hope you get everything...
There was another thread about this not to long ago. I dont think we came to any real conclusions, wonder what would Ford do if there was a lot of wear metals in the oil? Would they warranty it or do anything? Good question 🤔.
Try to keep pulling it down, it might be that your not fully unlocking it. Pull all the way as far as it goes.

Sorry to reiterate what you already said but it goes pretty far down.
If it doesn't move and your sure you've moved the level to it's end and still locked...

Dam sorry to hear about that. I've had mine serviced for clunking in rear and they greased the output shaft anti tinq ring. So far alls well with clunking gone, only issues I've been having are cold transmission slips and drawn out shifts but that seems to be normal 1080R characteristics. I have...

Just thought I'd make an observation about your hood. I the picture it looks like your stopper under the passenger side is too far out. Looks like it's a bit too far up from corner. Maybe check your stoppers? Unless you have it that way. If i offended my apologies. Just looking out. Very nice...
