Hello all,
I wanted to start a thread for you guys to be able to maintain the update history of these vehicles. This may be new to a lot of you and maybe some of you don't even care about this (yet). However, I can tell you with confidence that this info will be useful for existing and new...
Based on previous experiences helping other people out in the UAE, I don't think you you guys are set up to receive updates there. Even with FDRS, it is a problem to get updates onto vehicles. Your modem appears as "not authorized", so for sure you're not getting any updates by OTA. I would...
You got the same updates RJV got minus the ABS update, and you code is reporting a code for the ABS that his car used to have until he got the OTA, so I assume the reason for the OTA is to fix that code, but just an assumption. You do have an ABS update pending on the server, so you'll probably...
When I did the wheels/tires on my truck, I used FORScan to calibrate the speedo, and dealers don't use FORScan. Idk what to say about that, but the dealer didn't do it. The steering fault I would forget about. Unless it happens again, attribute it to a glitch in the matrix.
As far as the music...
First, thanks for sharing the VIN. Seems you like you've gotten 4 total updates, so there are more than 3 in total out there. The ABS update is 24-PU0201-NCNS-FX followed by 6.1.0, 6.2.0 and 6.3.2. I can see a lot. I have dealer access to PTS and FDRS.
The updates had nothing to do with your...
Unless there's something on the truck worth updating, I'd save the $50 until something shows up for the Stang worth doing. I hate PCM updates because they wipe my tune, but I guess you don't have to worry about that here.
Is your truck fully updated? Latest IPMA/PSCM updates installed?
No goodies sent to you yet and nothing in queue. PTS shows you have a PCM update pending, but I don't fully trust PTS to show all pending module updates. I'll check in FDRS when I get home later. It's crazy how few modules these cars have compared to others.
@roadpilot Confirmed with FDRS. Only...
Then most likely the OTA trigger was created for you the same day it installed. These type of updates have a high success rate. It's the ones that require the vehicle to be parked while they install that have proven to be a PITA across all connected Ford vehicle platforms.
When an non-inhibit OTA trigger is created for a vehicle on the server, the catalyst to get it to install it to turn the vehicle on or at least turn accessory mode on. You most likely had the OTA sitting in queue and when you started the car, it allowed the OTA to proceed to the next step...
Nice! I just sent my fox coupe to a shop yesterday to start 6 month long resto-mod project. I'm going absolute ham on it. This is the 11th Mustang I've owned (9 of them have been fox bodies) and this one in particular is a rescue mission I put myself on 7 years ago that is finally coming to...
Hey brother! I saw your message on the f150forum about picking up the Dark Horse while on vacation. Congrats!
This is what I have so far. Because we are starting this from patient zero (so to speak), I'm thinking of adding this column to the right for you guys to be able to track the file names...
If anyone who has gotten all three updates can post or send me the VIN so I can pull the update details from PTS, I'll start keeping track of these things
Lots of familiar names here. I figured I'd get on this quick and start keeping OTA history before more updates come out. Is it only three OTA's that have been released for these things so far?
