    AMEN. Breaking in the entire drive train Is always a great idea. Trans, rear end, brakes etc. all need to be run in gently. These old dinosaurs that state drive it like you stole it are sadly mistaken. Former Service Manager here...

    Yep car will not die in traffic if you are just creeping along slowly letting the clutch out. I like it and I think it makes life easier for the motor, trans and clutch.

    My car needs no throttle to move. I put it in first and gently and slowly, gradually release the clutch and the engine revs a slight bit (on its own)just enough to prevent a stall. i never hold in the clutch for more than a few seconds...I used to fry the throwout bearing in my old air cooled...

    I used to do stupid dirt bike stuff. 76 now and I am paying the price now for sure. Multiple bilateral shoulder dislocations ,artificial knee (that is LOOSE), bad back, arthritis in my hands, multiple surgeries. By the way, I still ride but only on the street where it is safer!
