  1. Anyone Using the Plastic Tonneau Inserts from the S550

I read that too about leaving them in on the road but I've done it a few times and saw no sign of any wear starting. Not saying it won't happen if you do it long term but I wouldn't sweat it if you forget once in a while. Speaking of forgetting... What's interesting is the 7g cars must have a...
  2. Anyone Using the Plastic Tonneau Inserts from the S550

I use them and bough them off eBay. Cheap add on. $48 for the pair and free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/153983538671
  3. Next Gen Ford Infotainment Revealed: Ford Digital Experience

Yes, it's Google Nav. Still subscription based after a period of time though.
  4. Next Gen Ford Infotainment Revealed: Ford Digital Experience

This is the system that's in the Lincoln Nautilus since 24. It is in no way smoother. We have to do a soft reset at least once a week and others have to do it much more often. Some have it so bad that they loose their profile settings after a reset. AND you have to have a google profile setup to...
  5. 2024 Mustang FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet (by Livinitup)

That is completely normal if I'm seeing a color change when you open the door. Ford and Lincoln do it on all their vehicles to indicate a door ajar situation.
  6. Next Gen Ford Infotainment Revealed: Ford Digital Experience

I'm pretty sure this is the system that made its debut on the 24 Lincoln Nautilus. We have one. It is the most buggy APIM you could ever own. Multiple firmware updates haven't fixed it for many and continual soft resets are necessary because it constantly locks up and losses functionality in one...
  7. Hagerty Insurance

The Hagerty rate I quoted was for 300k and zero deductible.
  8. Has the GT also fake exhaust sound?

    Same here….
  9. The Sound Police Are Coming For Us ...Haha.

I "THINK" the tide is ebbing. Fingers crossed...
  10. The Sound Police Are Coming For Us ...Haha.

You never know! Lots of CA folks moving to TX. Happened with us massholes moving to NH. It's a communicable disease....
  11. The Sound Police Are Coming For Us ...Haha.

Unreal. I guess companies like Escort, V1 and Uniden will have to update their detector databases with exhaust decibel locations to help us stay quiet when need be....
  12. Hagerty Insurance

I was able to insure my 2025 with Hagerty without issue. I'm wondering if you selected too much annual mileage? I initially said 5k and it kicked it back as "higher than average." Changed it to 4k and it went through without issue (which in reality is plenty for me.) Saved me about $350 over...
  13. ForScan and MacBook

The newer M1 chip MACs don't support Windows on Bootcamp. If you have an older Intel chipped MAC, you can install Windows with Bootcamp. There are some VM ways to run Windows on an M1 MAC like Parallels but I've never used them so I can't tell you how easy or hard that is. It might be simpler to...
  14. Has the GT also fake exhaust sound?

You can install Windows for free on a separate partition on your MAC with bootcamp IF you have an older MAC. It's no longer supported though so I can't do it on my new one. Alternatively, a sub $200 windows tablet would get it done as well.
  15. Has the GT also fake exhaust sound?

FORScan is free to download and you get a free 2 month extended license every two months if you want to keep using it. The only expense is a OBD2 adapter. I use the BT OBDLINK MX+ but currently FORScan is recommending the wired EX. Both are available on Amazon. Here is the FORScan site...
  16. Disabling ANC and ESE via Forscan '25 Full Steps

Some cars have ANC with no ESE and like my wife's Nautilus. I had to unplug the ANC mic's (didn't have the FORScan value for Lincoln) when adding a sub and amp to shut of the sounds it added to the cabin so they wouldn't be amplified by the aftermarket equiptment. Not engine sounds of course but...
  17. Active Exhaust - Meh?

I can next time I'm in there. I have to go back in at some point to turn on the auto lock toggle so I can prevent the car from auto locking in motion. Not sure how well it would show up on a phone recording but I would try. I am an Apple guy and FORScan is Windows only so I have it on a separate...
  18. Active Exhaust - Meh?

I wish I did. To be honest, I was on the phone with my buddy in TN who is an absolute FORScan guru making a bunch of changes. So, I was just entering values as fast as he was reeling them off to disable things that annoyed me. I wasn't even sure the ESE would make that big of a difference or any...
  19. Active Exhaust - Meh?

To answer questions, yes it's true. I wouldn't believe it either but I've shut off the ESE (Engine Sound Enhancement) with FORScan and the difference is noticeable. There is a thread in the FORScan area here on the forums that explains how to do it. The APIM is the "Accessory Protocol Interface...
  20. Active Exhaust - Meh?

Well, active exhaust is still really cool. I don't regret the option at all. That snap/pop when you let off the clutch with the valves open is always great too. I just don't think they needed to add to it. Sounds great as is. The way my wife described the difference was this. Before I shut off...
