I think your method is perfectly fine. I guess the question is have you ever noticed any swirls or scratches on your vehicles that was introduced by washing? If not, well your method is safe and working for you and your cars.
I also ALWAYS do wheels first. I have a wheel bucket but I dont fill...
I have to clarify. My cars are never very dirty. At most a couple of weeks of garage dust. What I'm doing currently is:
* On a dry car I foam with my pre-wash soap. Currently using Gyeon Foam, but will sometimes be Carpro Reset or Lift, Koch Chemie GSF, NV Snow or Snow+, depending on what I'm...
Yep, 2-bucket method for me. I've heard that it might not make that much of a difference if you use a pre-wash foam and rinse, but to me, it just feels like extra insurance and I dont see it costing me more than a couple of extra minutes. The overhead of filling another bucket and dunking the...
Yeah you'll definitely be able to see them without jacking up the car. You just need to look in there at the spring under the fender. I just didn't check at all until today.
When I got my car, the dealer (pretty useless, but more on that later) just left the underbody strakes in the boot. I wanted them installed, so today I decided to try my new jacking pads and see if I can install the strakes.
First step off course is to jack up the car. As I mentioned in...
Yep there are so many variables. I simply need to try it and see if my stuff works. The cup on my trolley jack is bigger than the jack pads so I think I'm simply going to put a microfibre towel over the cup and then lift using the jack pad. The jack pad should go into the cup and not be able to...
@5.0ALM , Have you used jack stands on your car yet now that you have those jacking pads installed?
As you know I have the same setup now and I need to take off the wheels to ceramic coat them. Lifting the car with a jack on these new jack pads will obviously work, but how do I swap the jack...
Its a shitshow. I just noticed mine still shows that the recall is incomplete when checking my VIN on the website or in the FordPass app. I reached out to Ford via Facebook messenger and asked them about this. They are now taking it up with the dealership. Probably paperwork or something that...
Yeah the ANCAP testing of Mustang was a real shitshow. I wonder if they're going to retest the S650. I was surprised to find that because of the current S550 rating being 3 stars, RAC refuse to insure a Mustang in WA.
Interesting that the NHTSA in the US gave the Mustang the highest possible...
Oh I'm going to check that out now. He told me he really loved it when I spoke to him about the recall delays and information. "Unreal and Epic" I think was his words.
DetailingShed package arrived. Now to find the time to take the wheels off, and coat them. Also ordered ColourLock Leather Shield today to protect the seats.
I've got one as well but haven't had it on the car yet. Driving it too frequently at this stage. 😁
I'm sure I'll use it especially in winter when the rainy weather hits.
I ended up installing the pigtail positive directly to the battery positive, and the negative to the negative charging stud. The connector is poking out from under the battery cover so I don't need to remove that every time I charge.
I got them quite a while ago, before my car was even in the country.
Ordered them from LMR. They don't ship to Australia, so I used Stackry as a parcel forwarding service to get them here.
