  1. The Dark Sprite arrives - my first Mustang is here!

Looks great. I have the Grabber Blue. I looked at a Race Red one until a dealership about fifty miles from me offered me the Grabber Blue for invoice.
  2. GOTCHA Day was today

I was really happy I went with the '25. I love the built in garage door openers. My last two cars have had them and I was really disappointed when I heard Ford dropped them in the '26s. Damn bean counters. I really like your Wimbledon White, it's another legacy color. I'm just partial to bright...
  3. 351 Cleveland - America’s Forgotten Performance V8

I've built 4 351 Clevelands. Awesome engine. I've always wanted a injected and supercharged Cleveland. There was a guy that used to race a Cleveland Hilborn Injected '32 T bucket at Rockford drag strip in the early 80's. He had a memory tach on it and he'd make passes and I've never heard an...
  4. Leaving the Mustang Community for Good. Traded in the Lemon.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Good luck with your TuRD. You're going from my #1 choice to my last place brand. As a retired automotive design engineer (for GM, LOL) Toy's are all 100% designed overseas. That's hurting my profession.
  5. GOTCHA Day was today

Congrats on the new pony. I'm not a white fan, but on the snow it looks great. I'm into bright colors, Grabber Blue đź’™ is a legacy color. Paying my respects to the Boss 429 with my 2025 DH.
  6. 2025 Mustang GT base rims/tires and mods

You certainly made my choice of an H pipe feel like a good one. I absolutely hate raspy sounding cars.
  7. Gross rotors (rust)!

I got some for my Fusion Sport for about $2000 for the front.
  8. Gross rotors (rust)!

Carbon Ceramics aren't that expensive. I've been running them for many years on various cars. The rotors will show surface rust. Like everyone is saying, just drive it around the block. That rust will be history.
  9. Who was this? Was it you?

That looks like ice. We had all snow here, but 12+ inches of it. My DH is in the garage until a nice day in the 50's. The only thing that works on ice is studs or chains. Cat litter is good, but only to get you out of a slick spot, not an ice covered road.
  10. FORD: One of the worst

Well... Better than they used to look, but that's not saying much considering it's a transportation appliance.
  11. How much would you be willing to lose to buy a DH?

My 2025 DHP has no rattles (so far), it's a solid performer. I really wanted the DH engine as it has the Terminator con rods. I'm a driver who's maxed out on revs, plus the engine/transmission/differential coolers are great insurance. The 10R80 in drag mode is an experience all its own. Shifts...
  12. New Goodyear tires!

I ran these on my Fusion Sport. The Michelin PS4S tires were far superior in corners and on launches. It's a FWD Fusion (I had pretty much everything in the Steeda catalog on that car, including a 93 octane tune), lighter and about half a second quicker to 60 than the AWD, the Michelins hooked...
  13. Are there any deals to be had on Dark Horses?

I got my 2025 DH in November for invoice. They said they had a '26 coming in and they needed the showroom space. They even showed me the invoice from Ford, but said I couldn't photograph it.
  14. 5w-30 to 5w-50 on na 5.0

Interesting. My 2025 DH says 5W-30 full synthetic and 9.5 quarts to fill. It says nothing about track pack weight being different. My dyno people say always use 5W-50 with the Whipple.
  15. Who’s giving up the 6sp for the SC?

M In my 2025 DH the 10R80 was a no cost option
  16. Who’s giving up the 6sp for the SC?

I'm all about the performance. Back in the day I loved 4 speed top loader cars. Now all my early cars are cruisers except the CJ Mach 1 with a heavily built C6. 3.91 gears, and a barks the tires on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Puts your head in the seat back on the shifts. Love that feeling. I had an...
  17. Who’s giving up the 6sp for the SC?

Wow, this thread has taken a crazy turn off topic. Look, drive the type of car you prefer, I'm just a fan of making the Mustang as quick as it can be. You like shifting and clutching, I support your right to choose that.
  18. Who’s giving up the 6sp for the SC?

Again, if you don't want the fastest Mustang, enjoy the shifting. I love the feeling of watching a Slomaro fading into the distance as my Whipple 10R80 Dark Horse leaves them in anguish.
  19. Who’s giving up the 6sp for the SC?

In a V-8 Ford, not a range limited battery bomb...
  20. Best air filter for the Mustang?

Agreed. I've run Steeda filters literally since I can remember. Have a second set, wash them by soaking in warm water with their cleaning solution. Put them in the sun on shop towels for a day. Conservatively coat each pleat with new oil. Next put them on a shop towel below and on top, first...
