  1. X-Plan on New Mustang

That's not MSRP...so it's still a better deal than MSRP but certainly not X-plan as I mentioned in my above post. MSRP for that car is $40,210
  2. X-Plan on New Mustang

Yeah it doesn't add up right. Looks like the Dealer Fee/ Documentation Fee $699.95 is the largest culprit. If they're accepting X-plan, they're required to show you the invoice/build sheet with the X-plan price on it. They can only charge $100 in doc fees from what I understand. Otherwise they...
  3. X-Plan on New Mustang

I ended up using Trucar website through USAA. Prices vary by location but I actually could have got a lower price than X-plan if I bought in Indy but chose to stick to Denver area (I travel to Indy often) and also by using USAA I got an interest rate discount :-)
  4. X-Plan on New Mustang

Doesn't it expire somewhat quickly? I'm just curious when I should order my brochure since I haven't even ordered my convertible yet and have no idea when I would take delivery
  5. X-Plan on New Mustang

One of my local dealers offered me $250 below invoice plus their dealer handling fee of $499. I can do x-plan but using USAA with Truecar I'll get a better interest rate without the hassle of X-plan :-)
  6. X-Plan on New Mustang

I haven't used this service before but planned on trying it for this purchase. How does it work? Don't they shop around for you and end up choosing the dealer for you? I assumed too that they would look for the best deal, so maybe even like some people here who paid invoice or under without...
  7. X-Plan on New Mustang

There's a rebate for Costco members?? Please tell me more!
  8. X-Plan on New Mustang

Looks like it will let you, if you get the link direct to the B&P. I tested it out using different browsers. Use this link which goes to the 2014 B&P. Sorry couldn't get a direct link to work right and keep the X-plan. Then click "Change Vehicle" and scroll down to the 2015 Mustang under...
  9. X-Plan on New Mustang

Wow...maybe I should plate my car in NM!
  10. X-Plan on New Mustang

That's okay, this is all very confusing and hard to grasp. Check out the Google Spreadsheet on the prices thread. Basically, the Adv fee and fuel charge are part of the final invoice, so you want to add those into JUST the invoice before you calculate X-plan price. The $275 fee is part of the...
  11. X-Plan on New Mustang

Yeah that sounds right...that's when they were doing the "cash for clunkers" incentives too
  12. X-Plan on New Mustang

Really? Is this some new incentive to get people to buy new cars? That's good...I always thought with the sales taxes and how most states ream you on plates for new cars it does a poor job enticing people to buy new
  13. X-Plan on New Mustang

I'm more concerned about the "wait" than the "weight" :headbonk: So I looked over a bunch of people's order sheets. It appears if you take total invoice of the car plus options (not including Dest, fuel or adv assessment), and multiply it by about 1.63% (.0163), that'll give you your ADV...
  14. X-Plan on New Mustang

Just an FYI...the Ford Partner people confirmed it for me via their inquiry system. They don't say how the fee is calculated, but I would guess it varies by the list price of the car (I would think a percentage or something?) Maybe we can gather enough data from people on here who've placed...
  15. X-Plan on New Mustang

I don't think that's it tough...when I log into Fordpartner website it gives me X-plan prices for each model/trim, and it only updates the incentives when you put in your zip....so this makes me think the X-plan prices stay the same throughout the country...
  16. X-Plan on New Mustang

Surviving spouses are supposed to be eligible, so long as the person passed away while still an employee (not retired?)...at least that's what I read.
  17. X-Plan on New Mustang

Yeah really...seems dumb to me, just include it in the Invoice base price of the car then....I did notice that A-plan buyers get the ADV fee taken off, so that must be why it is a separate line item. I should be an A-plan buyer (grandpa worked for Ford), but when my parents tried to buy their...
  18. X-Plan on New Mustang

I bet it varies based on the cost of the car (MSRP or Invoice).....
  19. X-Plan on New Mustang

Yeah I don't even drive my 94 Coupe in bad weather anyway...so why not go for the drop-top
  20. X-Plan on New Mustang

I already know the cost of the convertible...I'm just trying to figure out the ADV Assessment fee that'll go with it. I want to be able to go into the dealer knowing exactly what I'm going to pay :) Yes, I'm buying an expensive car, but every penny counts these days. I've been waiting 20 years...
