Area 51 must be some form of a Black Hole anomoly, as mine's been sucked into it as well. As a matter of fact, my whole process has been an anomoly.
Ordered: 3/28
Blend: 6/13
Built: 6/16 (but tracker never reflected it, dealer confirmed "Produced")
Moved to Area 51: 7/21 (Received by Carrier...
I will walk the vehicle inside and out to look for chips, nicks, or scratches (assume the dealer would to), but I would also expect to test drive to make sure that it drives right, handles right, and feels right. I've driven other model year Mustangs, but obviously not the S650.
Not sure that I...
I've bought a number of cars over the years (new & used), but always from Dealer stock. This is my first ordered vehicle and I'm curious what is common place during delivery/receipt of said vehicle. Normally, once I've found a vehicle that closely matches my configuration: go to the dealer...
Or the trolls, @agreywolfe & @HWill, could choose just to ignore the thread and allow those who want to b!tch their right to do so. And those offended or irritated by the trolls should just scroll past their comments and do their thing. But responding to them is just giving them what their here...
In 2 separate occasions Ford chat has mentioned a Marketing Department for additional information and supplied a number. I tried that number today and they really didn't supply any additional info beyond what the Chat already had. Car was received by the shipper(7/20), sitting at Ramp 59 and...
Who said anything about shipping them right away. I noted that they are sitting on $150+mm of inventory that is presumably now being held for a marketing plan (media drives) not QC, otherwise they wouldn't have left the plant.
IMO, it's completely asinine on the part of Ford to continue to hold onto and expose $150+mm of finished inventory to these conditions over & over (3rd hail storm in as many weeks) and gamble with potential damages as opposed to putting them safely in our garages.
I believe the block is there. If you start a Build & Price from the X- plan site, all non-DH configs show "Starting X-plan Price:" , but if you build a DH thru the same, you get "Base MSRP Price:"
Make sure to do your due diligence around timing and requirements as I'm certain that you didn't need the Pin at order. I had mine and he attached it to the order paperwork, but noted that they didn't officially need it until delivery/ purchase. Similar to others, saving about $3k, put my...
I got my first quote back, seemed kind of high. $2600 for the Front End PPF (Hood, bumper, fenders, lights and mirrors). $1k for Paint correction, and $1k for Ceramic on the rest of the car. Going to check a few more shops.
As many of us are preparing to (hopefully) take delivery of our new Mustangs soon, I'm wondering what this forum's thoughts are on some form of treatment for the paint? I'm not keen on a wrap although some seem to think that's the best option. My main concern is bugs, much less than rocks, so...
There is a promotion shoot that has the Vapor Blue with Space Grey interior with some really good shots. Here's one of the pics that I pulled, (essentially the inspiration for our order except included the Night Pony to black out the chrome & wheels)
Check here for a full set of pics of the...
I got a similar email recently to the one posted above, but it was a few weeks after I called my dealer and was informed that I had a build week & VIN. However, no information on the tracker. Talked to Ford Customer Support and she noted that the tracker may not reflect any status until closer...
Thanks for the information, was waiting for the scheduling email and decided to give this a try. Got my build date and VIN# from the Chat Agent. Not yet showing up on the vehicleordertracking# page yet, is this other's experience?
