So true...and now that Ford has added that annoying "auto start stop" feature to the GT, so you can be silent like an EV at a stoplight, is absolutely absurd.
Okay...but what about sitting at a light with your stick in neutral, clutch out, and no pressing on the brake? I do that all the time with my Vette...it's mainly flat here where I live. I guess we will just have to see how that works. Luckily, the DH I've ordered (automatic) will not have...
Guess what....those MUstang GTs now being built (after the first of the year) will have the dreaded auto stop start system...guess you can act like an EV (be silent at a stop light instead of bellowing that famous V8 sound at idle).
I don't see how the auto stop start system would work with a manual...when you come to a stop, you usually put it in neutral, you may or may not have your foot on the brake (if you're on an incline, probably yes), but even then when would the engine turn off? If it does go off, then perhaps when...
Great, you lucked out! I will see if I can post an example of one (i.e. window sticker with the auto stop start system). You can also go to the build your Mustang site and you'll see that it lists the 5.0L Engine with the auto stop start (for the automatics).
Here's a screenshot from the Mustang...
Did you check the bottom of the window sticker (total MSRP)? There should be an actual production date...After 1 Jan 24 that's when they supposedly started to install the Auto Stop Start System.
You have to bring up the window sticker (theres a site that allows you to put in the VIN and get the sticker). Check the bottom for the production date (if it's after 1 Jan 24) and it's an 10 speed automatic GT look under the options list and you'll see the Auto Stop Start (No Charge). I believe...
Correct, the auto stop start system (only in the automatic GTs) will take effect for those built after 1 Jan 24. Ford shot themselves in the foot on this one...it will turn off many future GT Automatic buyers...a real blunder in my opinion...it's nothing but an irritating system which is being...
No, but go to dealer sites, check on "in transit GTs with automatics" and the window sticker will include the auto stop start feature in the options list. Dark Horse, so far, will not, and I don't believe the Ecoboost gets it either.
Be sure to let us know how much you really like it after having it for about a month...guaranteed you'll be turning that auto stop start crap OFF as soon as you fire her up. The constant jolt when turning off and on will drive your nuts...and when you're making a left turn into oncoming traffic...
Just a heads up...checking the "window stickers" of "Automatic" Mustang GTs being built after the 1st of the year (1 Jan 24) and it appears that the automatic ones will be saddled with the dreadful and annoying "auto stop/start feature." Imagine you forgot to turn off the system after you...
Definitely think the Vapor Blue is a much better color...the Blue Ember is very nice, but the "purpleish" hues it gives off at times, just doesn't do it for me...plus what if you ever have to get it repainted? Imagine what's involved in trying to match it? Too much "flashiness" in my opinion...
Z51That's interesting...I've been with USAA for 47 years...my '01 Vette Z51 Cpe is currently on my policy (only 31K miles on her and I'm tradining her in for the DH I have on order). I'm pretty sure there will be a substantil increase in my premium. When I purchased my first Vette ('94) I had...
The clamping/attachment of the door handle and its interior backing usually causes this...seen it on other makes. Not much you can do for it (ask any PDR guy and he'll tell you it's very common)...albeit some are more noticeable than others.
Also, IMOP, it kinda destroys the symmetry of the front end. I plan on using the provided mounting bracket and use a medium tinted this license plastic cover to minimize its appearance. Police, here in Virgina, have pulled me over for running my Vette without the front plate. Also, the...
Ordered my DH (without the handling package) on 3 Sep 23 through my dealer (he had six allotments). The dealer checks weekly and there have not been any updates or scheduling for its production. It's a bit disconcerting not hearing anything. Starting to also look at a new C8 to replace my C5...
There are detailing products out there strictly for use on vinyl graphics. I remember reading that you shouldn't use any product that has wax in it (supposedly you shouldn't use Meguiar's Quik Detailer, etc.). Check on Google but there are products that you can use safely when it comes to...
