Yeah, if I'm in a position to at all afford that, I'll be right there with you, I think. Unless it looks horrible or doesn't offer a manual transmission. Although, really, honestly, the manual transmission would be the only deal breaker.
I wish I was able to afford the new Caddy CT5-V Blackwing...
I assume the section you're referring to in my post/comment/quote was this: " seems somewhat strange that they'd run the same generation (despite a refresh) for another 7 years "
I said that it would be weird that they would continue with the current gen and light refresh until 2028...
What I'm waiting for/hoping for is in the future a discovery/development of a powertrain or conversion as an alternative to electric. Of course fossil fuels will last only so long. Question is, how long will these cars we now currently have. I plan to own my Bullitt for 20+ year, I dunno...
Yeah, I'm kind of right there with you. If I wanted an econo-shitbox that gets me somewhere for the least amount of fuel, or even something that gets me there fastest devoid of feeling, then fine.
But, I love my daily commute and any sort of drives mainly since I get an instant gratification of...
Right there with you. One of my comments was quoted, seems like only about a word or two really were relevant to what he replied, but I'm not about to sift through 10 quotes to address that. :D
I think your prediction is right on the money. I remember when I was before my driving age 10yrs ago (I'm from Czech, when driving age is 18), and then moving to US, I knew manuals will be tough to get, despite me never owning anything but those and that electric will come soon-ish, probably.
I...
I'm from Czech and have lived in the US for almost 10yrs now between school and work. In Europe, vast majority of cars (aside from most German vehicles) are manuals, including vans and smaller trucks. To me, that's what I learned to drive on and love, also as a car enthusiast, I've never owned...
Yeah, that's kind of what we were talking about overall, needs to become easier to charge, faster, grid needs to be able to handle that (whether charging at home or on a trip), cars must be affordable (like same price as ICE), more eco friendly to make them and recycle them.
Without all of these...
You mean we "are" probably going to start seeing brownouts... I think we are, eventually until we surpass that line of having enough backup in the grid.
Yeah, I know overall itself isn't super hard to set up, but if you don't have it, it's a few hundred dollars to set up a dedicated circuit...
In the early mornings, if your car has it, having quiet mode on is just being a good neighbor. I set it to quiet in the mornings on the country roads, but on the same roads in the afternoon I'm ripping it in track. ;)
Yeah, you need at least 240V plug, which I'm thinking is what you meant by...
Well, if she'd roll up in that ride, she'd immediately be subject to investigation, because drug involvement would be the only way I could afford that.
I'm kind of in agreement with you. I have gotten a '19 Bullitt in Feb last year as my daily, but fun/enjoyment/uniqueness was a must, so it had to be a manual (have never owned autos), the exhaust note is fantastic, as a European the Mustang heritage is awesome and the Bullitt is unique enough...
Was going to post that I read the news recently too, seems somewhat strange that they'd run the same generation (despite a refresh) for another 7 years. But, I guess Dodge's been doing it and they do alright.
I am sad to see that manual transmissions will soon be thing of the past. Never...
