That would be awesome, but he's out of his mind if he thinks Ford is raising the base price of the GT by $10k 😂 that would be a 25% increase!
I see the argument he's trying to make about it being the only new V8 option out, but if they were going to try to sell the GT as this exclusive option...
At some point people will learn that products are designed to appeal to younger generations to avoid becoming outdated. With that said, Ford doesn't need to anything for the geezers but be the only one offering a manual V8
The interior of the elantra makes the S650 interior look like a Ferrari. Most people here also don't want a car that sounds like a wet fart. There is no scenario where that car is faster than a GT
The price increases have been in line with inflation. The price of a new mustang is not outpacing the industry so comparatively this is a moot point. The real question is whether buying large ticket items like a new car is a smart idea in this economy.

They left plenty of room in the original GT PP for ford performance to sell their aftermarket kit. I'll give the manual M1 the Tremec over the new GT PP since they reserved it for the DH
The M1 only has a single piston floating rear caliper compared to the 24 GT PP with the 4 piston fixed caliper on larger discs. The 24 GT PP has slightly bigger front disks than the M1.

I'm just comparing the GT PP to the M1 in real world driving. The 24 GT PP now offers the same or more peak HP as the 2021 M1 (not including improvements in the curve), bigger brakes than the M1, and the same suspension setup.

I'm not really even talking about preference for looks. I'm just saying in a few months the s650s will be on the streets and the 22 will be the old design, with older tech and performance characteristics. At the very least, its a resale value consideration
