  1. The new pictures from the Ford 2024 Mustang webpage

not really. Most of teh interwebz is split. I really appreciate the performance upgrades, though I feel those features should just be In the GT. Who knows… maybe they were until someone had the bright idea to lessen the GT, add another car and charge more for it. That would explain what appears...
  2. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

what the heck are you inhaling when you post drivel like this? Seriously. 1) you incorrectly stated that I preferred the Camaro. 2) now you incorrectly infer that I “don’t like” handling when my whole point was that the mustang should handle amazingly well in every model. you’re usually a...
  3. The new pictures from the Ford 2024 Mustang webpage

i do. Looking at the dark horse hurts. The fact that the design team was allowed to produce such an ugly car when so much is riding on it is harsh. the revision should fare better.
  4. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

Learn to read. Nowhere did I say I like it better or want one. I insinuated the the s650 better significantly outperform it in handling (not to mention accel and speed)model for model, package for package. next you’ll be posting conparisons between Mach 1 and SS…
  5. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

Model for model guys. GT vs. SS. PP VS 1LE. Ecoboost vs whatever the base Camaro is. No cherry picking.
  6. The new pictures from the Ford 2024 Mustang webpage

The GT looks great. For some reason, the dark horse just looks dated, ugly, and like an aftermarket kit that wasn’t designed well. Like a pep boys kit. kind of cheap looking.
  7. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

stock IRS wheel hop on the 99-04 Cobras was like your car tearing itself apart. Thank God for full tilt boogie racing irs parts. the s550 fares better, but it’s still a rough deal.
  8. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

seripusly. If the aftermarket can fix it, ford can do a better job from the factory. No excuse to have wheel hop an an irs performance car anymore.
  9. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

this is really important. The Camaro outhandled the prior ecoboost and GT. Even pp2 couldn’t stand up to 1le. and that’s just wrong. the s650 needs to at the very least beat the 6g 1le SS and base. Otherwise that’s just embarrassing.
  10. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

pretty much. But yhe car has more power, likely a better suspension, and the s550 shortcomings have been cleaned up for the s550+. I imagine ford is making an effort just for feel to drive customer sat. But also to truly improve performance metrics. cdnt wait to find out. And to see what the...
  11. Mustang Chief Engineer Confirms Locked ECU, making S650 tune more difficult

take the sample size of GT500 DCTs that are in customer hands. Now extract from that a number that will actually mod their DCT. It’s TINY. Now take the sample size of all the v8s in a mustang generation and extract a set of those who will mod their engines. Absolutely MASSIVE numbers. Economy...
  12. Mustang Chief Engineer Confirms Locked ECU, making S650 tune more difficult

locked ECUs are no fun. Would be great if there were a common ground with all 50 states and certified mod/tuning companies. Something to where an afterburner mod was sold alongside mods that may cause pollution. I’m no tree hugger, but I appreciate clean air. Been in L. A. For a year and it’s a...
  13. S650 steering and handling is night and day difference compared to S550 Mustang says Chief Engineer Ed Krenz

Great news. Hopefully it’s not just a feeling and translates to superior track numbers.
  14. Would you buy a permanently locked ecu 650 mustang ?

remote tune? Sheesh. Good luck. That’s why you take the car to the nearest reputable dyno shop for a tune after installing your mods. Get a baseline then tune for the actual setup. And unless you did something crazy with cams, your car should run stock quality.
  15. Would you buy a permanently locked ecu 650 mustang ?

If your only option to buy a mustang is locked ecu, then I’d say yes.
  16. Mustang Chief Engineer Confirms Locked ECU, making S650 tune more difficult

The S650 ECU situation is different than the gt500 DCT as that is one transmission (which seems pretty well suited to handle the engine mods) on one limited selling version of the mustang. If you have the same software lock on GT/dark horse, etc., not only does it make much more sense to invest...
  17. Mustang Chief Engineer Confirms Locked ECU, making S650 tune more difficult

It’s the Mustang. The single most modded car in the world. ECU will be cracked much faster than any locked computer before it. my prediction is mods ready to go -including b Maybe. Depends on the state. Not everywhere is as idiotic and greedy for control as California.
  18. Mustang Chief Engineer Confirms Locked ECU, making S650 tune more difficult

It’s the Mustang. The single most modded car in the world. ECU will be cracked much faster than any locked computer before it. my prediction is mods ready to go -including blowers and requisite tuning - before the end of the first year. Your local dunno shop will be able to tune your car by...
