Just FYI, floor mats were added back to 401A...which definitely meets the ridiculous standard to even talk about on a "premium"
I am in the same boat. Not excited about the cuts, but very excited to get a manual V8 convertible that fits my XL self. (and it is still a sane price point compared...
On the other end, as a model ages, manufacturers sometimes make options standard to keep it fresh and support value when they increase MSRP.
Not what is happening here. I do appreciate that the base price did not have a significant jump from 25 to 26. But I also do not understand deleting...
Sorry, I got a text and an email. Maybe because I already have a Ford account with a couple F150s on it. And I have the new vehicle loaded into my Ford app.
I know there are several of us on here with 12/01 blend dates. I got a note today that they "have unfortunately experienced unexpected delays."
Anyone else get this? Wondering if it has to do with my build or if it is a general issue.
It looks like the visor with home link has been the same part for many model years. Hopefully that part is actually an easy replacement. Unfortunately they are not cheap.
For the sill, I could not find info on whether the wiring harness changed. But, I’m less bothered by this one.
My father has been a manual devotee all his life and has had a succession of manual sport sedans. When he was ~70, he had some joint challenges and switched to a high performance SUV with an automatic. He has been happy with the decision.
He is now in his 80's and I'm about a decade behind you...
Test driving is good advice.
I was in a similar boat. My first cars were all manuals. I went from 3 on the tree to a couple 4 speeds. But had not driven a manual extensively for 3 decades. I thought I wanted to get back in to manual. Then I was sure after a couple test drives. Now I am 3 to 4...
Wow, that worked. Thx for the great tip.
Mine went into production last week, 2 weeks earlier than scheduled. But the blend date matches the original production date. We'll see which is right. Hopefully the "parts" issue is resolved.
I was in Charleston the other week and saw the SC State Police version along the interstate. It looked pretty bad a$$.
Ford's site doesn't offer a Mustang with a police package. I hope they are adding cooling.
I believe that is how it worked in Sync 3 on my 18 F150. A bit of a pain but worth it for a longer night drive. Anyways... I'm buying this car for the manual V8, not long night drives.😁
Is there a may to make the infotainment screen go dark so it is not a distraction during night driving? Researching, I could not find a description of a way to turn it off.
For driving at night I prefer simply the dash on- turned down to it's lowest light level. So, unless actively using Waze, I...
Sadly, I don't believe the lighted sills or the home link are available in even the 401A. I checked my order to be sure. The home link disappoints me more than the lighted sills which are cheaper to do aftermarket.
I clearly waited a year to long for the Coyote, manual, and RWD. However still...
Thanks for the review. I am even more excited about my convertible now. Production week got moved up the 1st of December. Can't wait to join you on road.
I just got the build date and VIN today and mine had mats listed too for what it is worth.
It clearly looked like mats were deleted from all trims on the order guide. I'm hoping, like aluminum pedals and the full dash, that it is included on the 401a.
Super helpful post and comments by all!
Terminus- can you share a link to that fastener kit?
My understanding was Fram filters dropped in quality over the decades. Have they had a come back?
Hi! Long time Ford truck guy here. I finally got tired of trying to find the perfect low mile Mustang and pulled the trigger on ordering my dream GT car. Loaded manual Premium GT Convertible White/Carmine/Bronze. It is a '26 but the 401A protects from some of the cuts. Should be ready Febish...
