  1. Gas Mileage Comparison

16.5 mpg currently. With a manual Coyote you have to keep the revs up so you are always ready to roll  Seriously, I can get into the looow 20's on a highway cruise.

  3. Dark Horse 2027

Maybe we will see the Lincoln version. Massaging seats, full leather 127 way seats, panoramic roof, and a LOT more accent lighting.
  4. What are your top vehicular sins?

I’ll second that. I think I am near you and have had some stupid aggressive encounters.

Looking back at the stang while running errands this afternoon😁
  6. Another recall? 26E04 - Powertrain Control Module Software Update

We will all be running custom tunes at that point.
  7. What are your top vehicular sins?

Ditto here- The oblivious left lane drivers are a problem. The drivers who have made it there mission to aggressively enforce the speed limit from the left lane are an even bigger problem. The result is usually faster drivers making overly aggressive moves, often around class 7 and 8 trucks...
  8. Anyone else still doing a strict 1,000-mile break-in period? Or am I in the minority?

I drove mine conservatively compared to its capabilities for the ~500 mi and then added in some revs and heavier acceleration up to 1000 ml. First oil change ~1000 mi. I did it based on legacy experience more than anything else. It did not hurt and may help. Through the years, I have had a...
  9. Pros and Cons of a convertible

It was definitely toasty cruising top down in NC this weekend! AC helps in for sure. But I got back to the garage before it topped 100. I think you got the GT cruiser nature of the vert dead on. But for what it is worth, I have only experienced it feeling unsettled on bad RR crossings...
  10. Rev Matching

I stand corrected…apparently that is a thing on 6th gen Camaros. 😳 Agree, I would not try it on my car.
  11. Rev Matching

That is likely referring to No Lift Shift. You can keep your foot on accelerator but you still have to use the clutch. Our cars do it, but I have not had the chance to try it out yet.
  12. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Cleaned green paint off the splash guards, wheel well, and the side of the car! It would have sprayed down the side of the car without the splash guards…they paid for themselves today. It came off pretty easy. Not sure if that was because of the ceramic or whatever it was I ran through.
  13. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I was referring to required structural enhancements and crash mitigation tech from the General Safety Regulations that are contributing to increased vehicle weight. Taxes based on vehicle weight would be going up as cars get heavier... you are safer but poorer.
  14. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

You have to admit, the weight tax is a bit ironic as EU regs have been driving up vehicle weights for all of us. Is that why it is changing? The mileage tax seems like it could be favorable if you have multiple enthusiast cars that don’t see the miles…but I’m sure there is a minimum to prevent...
  15. Power Washer Recommendation

After burning through an expensive gas PW, I picked up a Craftsman 1900psi electric a couple years ago. I believe it was under $150 at the time. Not too strong for the paint when washing cars. Drives the foam cannon. Works well on patio furniture and spot cleaning. Not strong enough for big...
  16. Battery tender - no bonnet lift needed?

Here is my install on a Ford Performance/ Vtech charger. I had no issues running the connector under the hood near the headlight. But I do have to open the hood to connect it. Not exactly what you are looking for. You will have to shop for a battery connection with a tail long enough to reach...

F150 got a wash this AM so I took a couple pics of my favorite Fords together.
  18. Front collision alert would let me kill myself

It will definitely work. One of the activities for Mustang Unleashed is to try to drive into an inflatable car. They have you do it multiple times at about 30mph. Car stops itself every time. On the road, I have not had my Mustang's alert go off, but it has saved my butt in my F150.
  19. Quiet start

I had the same experience recently. Chalked it up to the latest update. The system boot up has been noticeably faster.
