Is saving for retirement instead of blowing all your money considered "gambling"?
Is packing a first aid kit to take along on your hiking trip considered "gambling"?

Insurance that is required by law covers potential losses of OTHERS, not your losses.

Is keeping fire extinguisher in your house considered gambling, too? After all, the changes of a house fire are FAR less likely than being involved in an automobile accident.

Common sense dictates that, if one doesn't want a car with a track tire on it, one should not opt for the DHHP. Either that, or do it with the FULL expectation that you should not run that tire on the street and expect street tire mileage.
IMHO, the DHHP is offered so you can take your DH right to the track. NOT so you can run a soft soft tire between home and the grocery store.

You can't comprehend much, can you?
Nobody is saying that you have to use the Motorcraft BRAND because that's what the owner's manual says.
We're saying you have to use the OIL WEIGHT/VISCOSITY that's called out in the owner's manual.
For the love of God, get a clue. Please.
Most insurers don't offer agreed value policies on your average everyday automobile.
