All orders are driven by dealer allocation. Dealer allocation is based on past sales.
I made a huge post over on the F150forums back a number of years, explaining the ordering, scheduling, blending process. I'll try to find it and link to it.
Here's the post. It describes the process for...
Everybody gonna do what they gonna do, but you'll never catch me strapping a bunch of eBay garbage on my Dark Horse.
That said, I'm also NOT a big CF fan, either. All the overpriced fake CF is just a bunch of gimmicky BS to me.
All the department heads meet every morning. Our MPL manager reports on any significant changes to releases or ship schedules. Will certainly update everyone here if/when I hear anything.
We are preparing to start ship out first production HVACs for some Mustang GTD builds. We are not...
As @rugedraw said, post or send him your VIN and he can look it up.
I have a Mongoose-Plus and grabbed an FDRS 2-day subscription to update my Dark Horse back at the end of April. That's how I updated my BCM, and why Walk Away Lock works for me. That said, my DH is a Job 2 Mustang as well...
Are you being sarcastic? What looks unfinished about it? Looks great to me! I had my all black DH ceramic coated with IGL Kenzo, plus EcoCoat on the wheels and calipers. Looks BA!
Personally, I've never been a big fan of convertibles (any car). I just like the smoother, cleaner look of the coupes. Handling: They are slightly less structurally solid (there's no roof to provide extra stabilization). Sounds: Yes, probably a little louder, but that could be good or bad...
Yes. We produce the HVAC unit for a significant percentage of all North American market Ford and Lincoln SUVs, light trucks (F150-F450) and the Mustang. An HVAC unit has many different components that come from quite a few different suppliers around the globe.
Quality issues can come up at ANY time. If we produce a good sub-assembly for 6 months, but then start shipping garbage to Ford, we can shut the plant down. It has nothing to do with "most quality issues would be worked out by now". It has to do with a supplier not producing a quality product...
I can't tell you all the reasons FRAP is down. All I can tell you is that they cut all our releases from July and rumor has it they will do the same for most of August.
Supply chain issues. Quality issues. Those are the two I've heard.
I don't think they'll move the remaining 2024s to 2025...
FRAP is down all this month (July) and will likely be down most of August.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where too many people now expect instant gratification.
@Fatherof3girls - If you can't wait for a Mustang, then by all means, go buy some other POS.
Your money, your choice.
When they were younger, we always took the kids to Florida after Easter every year to visit my folks. The wife would fill their Easter baskets with the usual candy and other Easter stuff, but always included a new bathing suit, sunglasses, and flip flops. Every year.
When COVID shut...
I updated my car with my Mongoose-Plus and FDRS not long ago, including a BCM update.
Tonight, I worked with @rugedraw to test some changes for Walk Away Lock (WAL).
I can confirm that it does work. Leave the vehicle with your keys, close the door, walk ~13 feet away and the doors lock...
