From wiki (take with a grain of salt): "The engine restarts when the clutch is pressed prior to selecting a gear to move the car. The engine may also restart if there is a demand for power from, for example, the air conditioning system."
So, sounds like for auto start/stop, it's assuming...
Another one with Active Exhaust here. Definitely would recommend it for a few personal reasons.
Quiet mode is quite nice when you live next to a Karen, as well as will help avoid making other neighbors annoyed with you. In addition, for long commutes (and over 70 MPH), keeping the vehicle in...
As annoying as it might be, it may be worth looking for other Ford dealers around you. I know when I had my cam phaser rattle in my 2017 F-150, my local dealership could not get me in for 3-4 months. Called a dealership that was a bit further out and they were able to get me in within the month...
Both GT Performance Package and DH manuals come with 3.73 gearing and the autos come with 3.55 gearing. The TREMEC in the DH has slightly shorter gears than the MT if I recall correctly.
You’ll see a lot of car reviews stating for acceleration, go with the auto. But if want the more engaging experience, go with the manual. I personally opted for the manual because I miss rowing the gears. As well as, my previous vehicle experience, mind you it was an F-150 with the 1st gen 10...
Yes and no. To me, the Dark Horse is great and all (especially with the 6-speed TREMEC), but aside from that, how many people track their Mustangs versus just daily drive it? Also, I would love to see a Dark Horse 6M (non-handling package) vs a GT Performance Pack 6M on a track to see the...
The initial 1-2 second start-up is still a little loud, but after that, it quiets down pretty well. Probably reduces it to the exhaust noise/note that my previous 2017 F-150 2nd gen 3.5 Ecoboost was on start-up.
Now that I think about it, there is no drone really unless you're on the throttle...
I also found the active exhaust to be nice to have (mainly the “quiet” mode) when you have a Karen next door and have to leave for work before the crack of dawn.
Hope you get your Mustang soon. Assuming your signature is the custom build you are waiting on and is very similar to mine (in addition, I have the bronze package and the carmine red interior), I just have to say, that when it does get built and delivered, I don't think you'll be disappointed...
It may or may not have been related, but I feel like the Start/Stop did not help the cam phaser rattle issue that I experienced on the first year, 2nd gen 3.5 Ecoboost after 50,000 miles. Moreover, I felt like it just puts more strain on the battery (hence the FordPass alerts saying remote...
May be a slight exhaust drone, but only if you have to give it throttle (i.e. going up a hill or trying to pass another vehicle). With the active exhaust, selecting quiet completely eliminates any possible drone.
Ew... I see the Auto Start/Stop 🤮
Also, if I recall correctly, in Germany, it's against the law to have your vehicle parked and idled, hence the removal of remote start.
Also noticed from the YouTube video that was posted here, power-folding mirrors! I feel like in this day and age, and at...
All 2024 manual Mustang GT/DH get the stupid gas guzzler tax 😤🤬. If it had only been rated for 15/24, I believe it would have avoided it
But yeah, stupid. Doesn't the Ford Raptor R also have the gas guzzler tax (not to derail the thread)?
If you're going to keep it that long, I would personally just check all the options. Now if you were going to keep it short term, having all the options would not necessarily help with the resale. But for long term, might as well get all the bells and whistles and enjoy it to the fullest extent...
I saw a YouTube video about the EU release for the Mustangs, so take what I say regarding specs with a grain of salt.
The Mustang GT 5.0 outputs 446 HP and the DH is 448 HP. Ouch! That and I noticed the side mirrors are shaped differently.
