Mustang is fine although I did notice a pretty big difference going from no tint to 50% with those headlights tinted. 35% is probably too much for me.
F-150 is my day to day vehicle, driven plenty of times at night, zero problems seeing.
35% really blocks the heat, 50% knocks it down some...
Mustang is 50%
F-150 is 35%
You could probably go 35% as long as you have full headlights and not tint them. I can see fine with 50% and 20% tinted headlights. Might be a little tough with 35% and tinted headlights
The rest of my windows on both are 20%
Don't waste your time, file an insurance claim. Unless you've got a stupid high deductible. Looks like it's completely through the ppf. Just to paint one panel is probably $600. That's $1,800 plus $2,600 to replace ppf.
I fixed my chip yesterday, can still be seen, but It's at least smooth to the touch now. Still debating on replacing the windshield. My luck, I'll replace it and get a chip 2 day's after 😂
Haha, if you do screw up, have a little towel and some rubbing alcohol at the ready. You can wipe away and start over. Take your time, you'll be fine 👍
Don't use the brush inside the paint or clear coat tube. Go buy some really fine paint brushes from an art store so you can just cover the exposed metal. Just put a dot on, don't smear it. It'll dry flat.
2 coats paint, 2 coats clear
Good luck!
Please let us know how they fit when you get them. I've tried headlight covers on our Bronco and a Ram 1500, fit was horrible and sent back. Looks like these will match up pretty good. Good option if my tint ever starts to peel.
The Bronco covers worked after I DIY'd some additional 3M tape...
Thank you! You'll have to tell us how your first pitch black mountain range goes, LOL. I'm a city boy so I'm driving with auto brights and the alternating side streetlights 😁

This is the kit I bought, 20%.
I had this all done before I brought the car home, so never experienced driving without. I've got the automatic brights turned on, so I've not had an issue seeing. My windshield is tinted...
