  1. Touch up Pens

Racing red is color code PQ Part number PMPC-19500-7236A It didn't take long to get the first ding and on the top of the hood. I must of got behind a gravel truck that wasn't properly covered.
  2. Anyone install RTR upper grille?

Some of that might be explained by the fact you have a premium. I am not sure of all the electrical differences but the rearview mirror power port is one difference. Differences in the cruse control may account for something else.
  3. Long wait

That engine is still a little tight. Try it again after about 1,000 miles and you will probably do a little better. I know the milage on my first tank was pretty crummy but it's getting better and I still am under 900 miles on the car.
  4. Multiple Issues: Powertrain Fault, Engine Stall, Low Battery Charge

I have had batteries that were sulfated to the point they wouldn't take a charge. If they are at that point, the de sulfate cycle will take it to the point where it will take a charge. Then I start the charge cycle and the charge is pretty slow as the battery starts to accepts a charge. After...
  5. Anyone install RTR upper grille?

Not having detailed information about the power control, it appears they are using semiconductors as switches in the power system. The fuses are only there just in case something goes wrong with the circuits. It wouldn't be difficult to design current limiting and fail safe into the circuits and...
  6. My 9 month wait is over - the blue ember Dark Horse has arrived

In the early 70s our family had Mom, Dad and us three kids on an auto insurance policy with Trans America. Some how or another they applied the premium to the wrong account and we were getting notices that our insurance was canceled. My dad kept working with the agent trying to get it corrected...
  7. Long wait

You have captured exactly the reason people want to move to southern California in your top picture. Palm trees and weather mild enough that you can leave the top down on the convertible much of the year, mountains that are sometime snow covered but make beautiful scenery all year around. You...
  8. Multiple Issues: Powertrain Fault, Engine Stall, Low Battery Charge

Batteries have been failing on newly shipped cars. You have enough miles on the car to fully charge it with normal driving and if the alternator wasn't working, the battery would have been dead a long time ago. It sounds like something isn't powering off or more likely, you are dealing with a...
  9. Mustang Purchase Pricing

The FED should be dropping interest rates instead of holding steady. As the result, we will probably see a hard landing over the next year. If I am correct, look at the numbers and if they are good, get a bank or credit union loan to pay off the car loan. Unfortunately many people will feel the...
  10. Well this was a short run... GT Totaled

I was trying to work that out as well. The cars are supposed to be able to take a 5mph collision front and back with minimal or no damage. I would expect the airbags to inflate at a much higher speed. The collision was pretty even suggesting a 4 lane road allowing the car to get farther around...
  11. Electric drift handbrake retrofit?

I am not sure on that point because I haven't seen a GT and my non handling package Dark Horse has the handle. It appears you get it no matter what with the Dark Horse. It does pose the question as to if the app is present in the GT without the PP. If it's not, things get a little more...
  12. New 2024 GT Performance Question

I think it takes miles for the computer to learn the engine. Yes it comes with a start from the factory but altitude, temperature and humidity may play in the adjustments. I know mine was a bit sluggish at first but it's getting better as I approach 1,000 miles. One item still remains. The...
  13. Well this was a short run... GT Totaled

That hurts. Rarely is an accident blameless so some states have stopped calling them accidents. Not pointing fingers because I don't know but the first person to the intersection normally has the right of way. If both reach the intersection at the same time, the one going straight has the right...
  14. Electric drift handbrake retrofit?

I am not sure that is an issue. I think all the 2024s come with the ability to have a drift brake. I am not into wearing out tires in a hurry but I think you need to set up the correct app and then the hand brake functions as a drift brake. Look at page 407-408 in the manual.
  15. 0mi to empty, but tank with gas

I managed to duplicate this failure a few weeks back. I couldn't remember the name of the thread or I would have posted sooner. I had about a quarter of a tank of fuel and I reset the trip meter. Next thing I knew I had zero miles of range left but a quarter of a tank of fuel. New rule, always...
  16. Remote rev.

The ones with manual transmissions don't but the autos should.
  17. Dark Horse Decals or Font?

I am not sure all of the fonts are the same. Mine seems to have more of a back slope that others. I kind of recognize the font as it looks similar to a modern font but Ford could have had a graphic designer dream it up to prevent copying. It's not here but you might see what I am talking about...
  18. Let’s talk about Evs

DARPA is like that. They are the ones responsible for the internet. I suspect some good will come out of it but maybe not what they expect. Shift the beam and you have a weapon. It might be used to power established bases but for somebody in the field it would give away their location. The big...
  19. Let’s talk about Evs

I wasn't critical of you. I was critical of reporters who write about topics they don't understand. It has always been a problem but with science being reported on much more today, much of what you read has errors in it. Unfortunately that's how we get snow job when it wants to push something...
  20. Let’s talk about Evs

The article has a mistake in it. Horse power is generated by current times the number of windings in the motor. Half the current and double the voltage, you need twice the windings in the motor. Higher voltage might result in less loss and there are other advantages but wattage(horse...
