Winter tires are one thing, but are you not concerned about all the rust from the snow & rock salt?
From what I've seen, that hurts the resale value of cars from up north the most.
In the before-COVID time, Ford would often extend generous cash incentives on top of lower interest rates if you qualified for financing with them.
Unfortunately that's really no longer the case in today's market unless you're buying certain late model F-150s.
I do think it's weird that someone who supposedly has an inside connection with someone at Ford that can share so much intimate knowledge with them about the Mustang launch would be complaining so much about the company's lack of communication.
But apparently I'm alone with feeling that way, so...
For those who are still curious, as another data point, I was able make a change after receiving my VIN as well.
It was only to delete the spoiler, but I checked the tracker & the change is reflected on the website. It didn't change my scheduled build week either.
I hate to say it, but your post is starting to give off Karen vibes.
Ford can't control the weather, and they're not going to shop you a car that has hail damage.
Knowing those facts, I'm struggling to understand your discontentment...
1. StangMode doesn't work for Ford.

2. StangMode isn't a "pretty reliable source."
3. We have multiple individuals on this site (including dealers and actual Ford employees) who have been actively sharing production schedules with...
As far as the hailstorms last week, that was a freak event and very bad luck if anything. I'd bet money that it won't happen again this season.
What they saw across Metro Detroit (numerous / widespread reports of ping-pong to golf ball-sized hail) is extremely rare for that part of the country...
My email (received on 6/15) said my car would be built on the week of 8/21, and the tracker is showing production on the week of 8/18.
I ordered on 4/7.
Your post does make a very important distinction, which may get lost in the excitement.
Just because they're moving cars from the plant to a different Ford-owned/leased staging area doesn't mean the cars are actually in transit to be delivered to us (the customers) yet.
You can always just come right out and ask the dealer if they can beat that rate.
They may be able to find another lender besides Ford Credit who will do it, just so they can close the sale.
Yeah, that would be a power play that imposes a bit more pain for sure.
And don't misconstrue my responses. I was raised in a union family and have family members in the UAW. I'm all for you all collectiely bargaining to get a fair slice of the pie and I stand in solidarity.
That said, the...
One other thing...
The railroad stirke isn't the best comparison. Their union represented workers who worked on *ALL* the lines in the US.
While the Big 3 and its workers still make up a significant part of the Auto Industry, they're no longer the only players. This isn't 1969 where they had a...
