The main benefit of getting the active exhaust is so your car doesn't sound as loud, pissing off your neighbors if you're in the city/suburbs or violating any local noise ordinances. That said, as others have said, not having it is not a dealbreaker

There is no prepayment penalty with Ford Credit. In theory, you could sign the paperwork for your loan on Thursday and then pay it off entirely the following Friday without an issue.

As you can tell from the responses, there's a bit of a hive mind here with respect to S650 opinions. Your criticisms are perfectly valid (even if I don't agree with them). It's possible to both still like the car overall and also dislike (or be underwhelmed by) certain aspects of it.

No. As of yesterday, it was at the railyard near the local dealer waiting to be unloaded from the rail car. I just checked now and the status is unknown.
