Hey chazcron, great to see you back. Guess it's too late for production-near 3d renderings of you, but this renderings look really like the real deal. Perspektive is a bit distorted based on the picture, it makes the car look a bit bland. I really hope the real car won't have that "lips" around...
Awesome to hear, even though I hoped they would do a standalone event for fans and press like the C8 Corvette reveal where they could go in very deep detail.
Now I just hope they will do a big livestream at a time that is watchable for europe too
Yes, most likely someone calculates how many cars they have to sell to get back certification costs for new wheels and stuff like that and then decides what's worth it. I think even if they demand more money for packages in export markets than on us markets, people would easily order it. So...
Most special editions or packages were not available in export markets. I never understood why, the Mustang is already priced really high here and from what I heard from most Mustangs owner is that they wish they could order more US exclusive stuff on top.
Also a lot of cars are making good...
Most renderings are just the leaked "GT front" slapped on a S550. Of course the car looks like Gen 6 then.
Just have in mind that Gen 5 and Gen 6 looked really similiar under the camo. I am absolutely sure the bodylines of the Gen 7 will looks drastically different to a Gen 6 to be more in line...
Ford raised the prices for the Mustang so you will pay around 60k-70k€ for a Mustang here (my 2015 GT was 40k€ back then...). I don't think the few hundred bucks taxes more than other sportscars are that important compared to how the base priced exploded
Don't believe anything carwow comes up with. They are absolutely clueless and just want to make some cars look bad for views. Just jump to the 4:32 when they do the rolling race and LISTEN. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU START A 30mph ROLLING RACE IN 3RD GEAR!? you can hear the engine struggling with...
The union statement a while ago clearly stated that Ford agreed to build the S650 in flatrock and invest further $250M. Of course it's possible that some parts will be build in mexico, but final assembly is still in flatrock
Are we talking about the same Ford motor company here? Just look at the Mach 1, they could have made a real Coyote based successor to the GT350 but just went for the bullitt engine setup. I don't think Ford will go all in on horsepower here. They will sell the GT internationally, so it at least...
According to latest informations MY2023 order banks open on October 17th. This would match the Gen 7 reveal in April 23 with launch as MY2024 later. So we could get a full MY2023 S550 with the renamed black accents package.
Only thing that don't add up is that export models S550 will end by end...
I really think the S650 must be in some kind of development hell. Maybe the management couldn't choose which way to go for the next mustang in terms of ICE, hybrid, etc for a way too long time. Maybe they are in deep technical problems they have to clear. It just doesn't feel like Ford actually...
Yeah, that's the most plausbile reveal here. The car will be a good hint at what the S650 will look like, so it could be the very first start of creating a S650 hype.
They wouldn't announce a reveal one day in advance. I guess the reveal will be a big media event where they invite the press, so we would get at least some leaks with the Mustang logo, the event showplace, etc
Carscoops released new renderings based on the leaks. Their artist usally is pretty close to the real cars, from what I can see here they got the frontend really close to the leaked images and making it actually look really nice.
