Not for me. AWD is always welcome and with a light tune these things can push 450hp. Wouldn't doubt that the factory underrates the power a bit as well to keep it behind the M on paper.
I've already priced a M240i xDrive, loaded to my spec and it comes it at $57K. I really want a new GT Performance, but AWD is looking better all the time.
I find myself drawn to the GT Peformance over the Dark Horse. The negligible power difference isn't worth the $10-15K premium over the GT before dealer markups for someone who won't ever take it to the track.

I've never trusted the JB4 tunes (or any other plug in tune). Always go to a reputable shop and get a proper tune - at least that's what I did with my VWs and never ran into any problems.
The M2 is ugly, but the M240i XDrive version is the one I'd go for anyway. Much better design than the M2 - which usually isn't the case. 380+ HP (underrated) that pulls 3.6 0-60 all day and with a VERY tunable engine will put out nearly 500HP without any engine modifications.
