When my wife and I were shopping SUVs this spring, we test-drove 8 different ones, including 3 Cadillacs at the same dealer and 2 Lincolns at the same dealer. All of the dealers (and the one we ordered the Mustang) were more than willing to let us test-drive any model we wanted to. Nobody...
I checked the status of our order this morning, as I always do. It's changed from Built to Shipped!!! We're still hoping to get it before Thanksgiving!
Back in the early 80s, my dad bought a '55 Chevy in Iowa from a friend of my grandpa's. We flew out there (I was a kid then) and drove it back 1200 miles to Maryland over 2 days. He had to add oil to the engine and lead additive to the gas tank every gas stop, but other than that it ran good...
Daily driver, currently has 193k miles on it. I bought it 10 years ago when it had 89k miles on it. I just installed Pedders coilovers up front yesterday to replace the original front struts. I'll replace the rears this week, which should be easier as I replaced the rear springs right after I...
Welcome to the forum! Our '26 GT convertible is on order and was built this past Monday. The 3 car's I've owned were all V8s: '55 Chevy Bel Air, '87 Camaro IROC-Z, and '05 Pontiac GTO. The Mustang is my wife's car.
My wife's car was just built on Monday, so we should have it in 2-3 weeks. Hers is a GT Premium convertible. We got the '26 since she wasn't impressed with any of the '25 colors and she loves teal.
Ford emailed my wife directly when we first ordered it, with a link to a tracker website. She also got an email from Ford this morning with the update.
Ours has been built! Status changed this morning. Their estimate of scheduled for week of 11/10 was pretty accurate after all of this wait. Hopefully we'll get it before Thanksgiving.
GTO's have the same problem with their IRS and movement. First steps are replacing the rubber sub-frame bushings with poly and installing an insert in the differential mount to limit movement there. There are a couple aftermarket diff mounts that are wider than the stock one to also help...
Our order was also confirmed on July 14, it still says scheduled for production week of November 11, but moved to In Production on October 23. The page says it was last updated yesterday, so I'm hoping it's built soon as our VIN is just over 100.
Did you rev it up some when you were trying the different modes? When my wife and I test-drove one this summer, it wasn't too noticeable at idle or low engine speeds, but much different when driving around.
When we were looking at SUVs this spring, my wife insisted that it have heated/cooled and massaging seats for both the driver and passenger. Several SUVs were knocked off the contender list as they only offered a massaging seat for the driver, which won't work for her since she's usually the...
