In generalā¦.Keep in mind even brand new oil in a sealed container has a shelf life. Synthetic properly stored in an unopened container has about 5 years. Much shorter if the container was openedā¦about 2-3 years. On every bottle of oil is the manufacturing date. usually the first 4 numbers is...
Apparently if you got your tower brace from the factory they didnāt include a plateā¦weird.
But if you order it after the fact, it has a Ford Performance plate on it. The one I just ordered does.
That said, you can order plates to go on it.
This is an exampleā¦a little pricey though...
My locking lug key came in a clear bag along with the 4 lug nuts removed. They were in the glove box. You didnāt get the removed nuts along with the key?
You can request your dealer install Ford Full Synthetic oil. It will probably cost more, but I plan to do that when my car breaks in.
My dealer Serv. Dept. is so cool, they will let me bring in my own oil and filter and theyāll put it in. I did that with my ā06 GT.
But with this fresh start...
Sorry for the confusion. Both pics are āAFTERā. I didnāt think to take a pic of āBEFOREā. That would have been a great idea!
I deleted one pic to avoid further confusion.
Apparently on a GT with 20ā wheels as I have, the steel cowl brace is already there. So even though I ordered the Ford Perf. tower strut brace, it comes bundled with the cowl brace which I donāt need. But at American Muscle, it was only $218 plus tax/ Free Shipping.
I did a lot of research...
Thanks! Thatās a high compliment when someoneās opinion gets turned around!
These are the 1/4 window louvers. They are great, but read the reviews and heed the warnings about the included tapeā¦..do NOT use the included tape...itās garbage. Get your own 1/2ā 3M double tape and 3M adhesion...
My new GT came with 20ā wheels and I can confirm it has the metal cowl brace, but didnāt come with the strut tower brace. I just ordered the Ford performance one. Shame it comes bundled with the part I already have. But I wanted the genuine Ford part. I liked the cool center plate saying...
When I got my car with 4 miles on it, the engine bay was filthy with dust and pollen. I sprayed Mequiars Hot Shine Tire Foam on a sponge and went to town.
That stuff is my go-to productā¦it doesnāt streak and leaves a nice gloss on plastic, rubber, etc.
Iām about to buy the Ford Performance Brace from either CJ or AM, and both pics show the Ford Performance plate on it. trying to choose between that and the Steeda. Shame I am forced to buy the Ford Performance brace as the 2 part set when I only need the center brace. For some reason the GT...
Yes oil life is time sensitive, as are most fluids. Thatās why in the manual and on the products themselves, they have recommendations to change before either mileage or time, whichever comes first. Fluids have a shelf life regardless of being used or not.
Even my preferred oil for my 06 GT...
Mine is brand new and was filled just a hair above the minimum line. I assume anywhere between min and max is acceptable. I wouldnāt worry. Like previous post said, check when hot and see what the expansion is.
I heeded the warnings about metal valve stem caps and got these.

Though I have had aluminum caps for over a year on my wifeās Lincoln and they come off easyā¦.so far. I may have to rethink them.
In my 06 Mustang all I had was radio/CD player. So I always just cranked up Helmet and Black Sabbath. In my 6CD changer 3 CDās never left , Master of Reality, and Helmetās Aftertaste and Betty.
Now with my 2025 GT, I have Xm and Bluetooth access to my phoneās library, so I am overwhelmed with...
