I get the ever increasing want for supercharging and speed. It's fun.
Not to sound naive though but where do you people with SC's, use that power besides race tracks? No, I'm not an undercover cop.
I'm a risk taker but really using that much power on a public road sounds like good places...
My car's top speed is 155 thanks to Ford. It "might" have been to 150 which is fast enough for "grocery getting" and just normal daily driving...... :)
Keeping someone in front of you that's doing your speed or maybe a little more is a good thing. They're called "front doors". Yeah, stupidity is stupid.
We've owned a Miata and they're a VERY fun car in serious twisties. They'll run away from a lot of things on, say, The Dragon, or anywhere there are serious twisties. They're light weight, wide, and have good tires on them. Soft compound tires are about all that are available for them. In a...
I'm using an old Valentine One. It may be old but it still works superbly.
I decided to just leave it in my new s650 given how easy it is to "get carried away" in the car. Besides that, my car is "radar red" and through the years, I have discovered that red cars definitely do attract radar...
@noslwb, you have about all the advice needed that you asked for in getting what you want and having a decent career.
@Neggytive, sums it up exactly as I do. My stock 10 speed is pretty quick IMHO. He asks a very good question in that if a blown car isn't tracked, where are you going to use...
Turbos exist to meet EPA emissions standards which certain engines with turbos do adequately. But, there are sacrifices such as reliability, engine and turbo longevity, engine oil life, and a real life increase in gas mileage. Once a turbo passes emissions standards and are put on the road...
There's a thing called "insurance". Just as many stores aren't insured for many things past posted operating hours, dealers aren't allowed to break traffic laws. I wouldn't allow my techs to ride with a client with the partial intent of breaking traffic laws. Liability can be a real pain...
To sum it up, shortly and quickly, Nissan is a complete failure. Look at all of their different vehicles and their faults and lack of reliability. Nissan, itself, is a failure so there is no valid comparison. The Z car has not been well received, so it adds to the failure of Nissan.
Man, I'd just like to get better feedback through the wheel. The lack of it is a serious weakness in Mustangs. I'm on my fourth GT and it can get you in trouble. They've all been that way.
Best thing you've said is to get out of debt. Credit card debt interest is obscene. I would encourage you to stay out of debt no matter what it takes. If you get a mortage, at least you're building equity and can deduct the interest from you taxes. Do double payments and pay it off early...
