The gear ratios in the GT PP and DH are the same. And both have Torsen differentials.
The standard GT manuals do come with tall gears (3.15s I think) and do underwhelm off the line.
Oh man. All this pro DH talk in other threads and you haven't even driven one...🤣
You have yourself convinced the standard DH suspension is massively upgraded from a GT PP and it's not. Do yourself a favor and drive both. Please. Unless you get the DH Handling Package (which has stiffer...
I would ask you this - if you are worried about justifying the cost, why buy a track car if you aren't going to track it?
As for the Tremec, I owned one and its a great transmission. But having driven both the Tremec and the Getrag, I can't say it was THAT different, especially for street...
Apples to apples, a Dark Horse Premium is still 10-15k over a GTPP premium. I personally do not think the price is justified, and thats probably why they aren't holding value like the Mach 1s initially did.
Apples to apples a loaded DH is quite a bit more. But it's actually only a few grand more for a Base DH over a loaded GTPP premium.
The problem is, once you are in 65k plus territory, a non super charged coyote is just too damn expensive. Im going Corvette or used Porsche at that point.
Trade in values started falling on Mach 1s early last year. Prior to that they were holding fairly decent compared to GTs. Now its seems neither S650 is holding value well. Obviously some depreciation is always expected, but the OP was right to be miffed by HOW MUCH depreciation in that short...
Interesting. Ask them for the specs and differences in the springs and sway bars and lets clear it up then. Because if thats true, there is a lot of bad information floating around.
I can tell you the S650 spring rates where posted in another thread awhile back. And the GT, GTPP, and Base DH...
